Anyone here from the "south" of Sweden?
Quinxi replied to Europa's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Well on my mothers side of the family - they immigrated to the US from Denmark. Thats sort of Sweden "south" right? But live in San Francisco now. -
Tried to do a turn on a pbem game after upgrading to 1.02 and did my move portion of a pbem game but then the game launched into the action phase without allowing a save and after that took me to my opponents turn. Definitely broken.

Question on frequency of CM Quick battle play
Quinxi replied to Hans's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Use to play QB's virtually every day. Lately do QB's a couple of times a week. Don't care for scenarios with a few specific exceptions. -
Inspired by the topic "Greatest Submachine gun of WWII"

I don't know. What was the greatest tire in WWII? -
Five really bad ideas to ruin the next CMX2
Quinxi replied to Hans's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Some of these ideas don't sound so bad. More like reality. -
How do most peolple play this game?
Quinxi replied to legend42's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
I like IP but rarely do it. Usually its a great fight and a lot of fun. Playing against the AI is useful and good training ,but it does become somewhat predictable. Still fun though, especially if you give the AI some advantages to make your life on the battlefield more exciting. Do a lot of PBEM with my brother who although a better CM player than I am is defeated a fair amount of the time. Prefer QB's to most scenarios although I must admit that a good scenario can be superior to a QB. -

Who's got all three CM's on their hard drive still?
Quinxi replied to phil stanbridge's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Still have all three in residence on my hard drive. Must say however, that CMBO has not gotten much play in recent times. -
A 7th armoured link of some interest.
Quinxi replied to Elmar Bijlsma's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Interesting site. -
Sounds like a good product for many gamers.

I also prefer the smaller battles. Having a large map for moving on is fine but having too many units becomes "work".

I met a T-34 driver, still alive and very talkative
Quinxi replied to Hans's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Thanks Hans, yes I had meant to ask where he was currently living but somehow the word "where" did not make it into the sentence. The restaurant story is also quite interesting. -

Hey Hans, very interesting story. That restaurant in France that he worked in is one of the very best. Does he live now? -
recommended ideas for CM3 fords and bridges
Quinxi replied to Hans's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Sounds interesting and much more realistic to me. Too bad items such as pontoon bridges and such are not included in Cmbb. -
Changes I DON'T want in the next CM
Quinxi replied to Hans's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Reference the Hindi music option. I must say I would favor the inclusion of such an enjoyable option in the next CMBB patch. Even better would be an Arabic music option as I find Arabic music quite soothing. -
Bridge suggestion for CMIII and bridge grog question
Quinxi replied to Hans's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
What about trying some rocks at one or both ends of the bridge - it could represent damage to the road and or bridge and would prevent vehicles crossing but the inf could press on.
