I was just wondering and thought that maybe the AI just used formations depending on the exp of the units under it's command

I'am new at modding and have been working on white washing the T34, my question is how do you get the white wash using paint pro, to not cover up the details of the vehicle??I have tried to lighten up the color but this does'nt help.

Like most of the war gamers in this topic, I will play both. They both work fine on my personal system {2GIG AMD Athalon XP, Gigabyte board w/ Via chipset and a Geforce 4, 500 megs of ram}. And both games have played fine on my customers machines ranging from 350mhz on up,{although running a bit slower on lower end machines}.

I have noticed that the AI does'nt seem to know how to put tanks in formation, {wedge, column, etc.}. Is it just me,or is the AI capable of doing this??

Well Rune, I played as the russians, and got a tactical. I massed some of my tanks over to the side of the map, then brought 2 platoons over to the other edge and went for a flanking move. The panther Ds were still butchering my russians, head on attack against the panthers is plain madness for sure, but like you stated from the side they can be taken.

I found that playing the Von Lauchert battle in CMBB, it is a duck shoot! All I did was line up my panther ds on the creek bed and they massacred the ruskies. My question is, do the russians get a bonus? I did'nt read anything in the briefing saying that it was recommended to give them a bonus?? And I don't know how to reach the creator of the battle.

I figured that I would start with something easy to mod, tank tracks maybe??. My question is, and might be a little broad, in modding tank tracks, if you were to mod a track for the KV series would modding that specific track effect other series of tanks?? and if so which other series of tanks use the same BMP as the KV series?? My thanks to anyone who could help.

Well I think it's a great idea, and as far as permission goes, if I'm not mistaken when you read the read-me files in the zip, the mod creators give permission to use the mod as long as you let people know who made the mod, and don't try to take credit for the mod, and they even go as far to write that you can even change the mod as long as you give the author of the mod credit for using his mod as a basis.

All I have to say is thanks Tom, and others like you for hosting sites, and using your free time in order to post mods and such, I'am planning on setting up a web site myself I have the time and resources to do this now {plenty of the later} I only hope that when I do that I don't hear folks complianing of getting FREE services {LOL}

I just wanted to write and say thanks to AndrewTF, You have to be one of the best modders out there for CM,you did excellent work for CM and I hope that I will be able to mod half as good as you, I have never seen any mod you have done look anything less then great. I think you and other modders like you should get a hell of a lot more recongnition for what you do for the game. Look at CM for instance, the stock game right off the cd, is well ok as far as the eye candy goes, but you and others like you make the game WOW! with your kick ass mods you produce. agian thanks for the mods

I'am a collecter of WWII equipment and weapons, I own a Maxim {non- firing}, a MG42,{non-firing}, and a BrenMKI {no comment HEHEH} a sten MK5,{purchased the above listed from I.M.A. as parts kits}. I also have the M91/30 7.54{russian}, K98K 8mm{German},British 303no4,U.S> M1 Garand 30.06, Jap 6.5, {all are operational}, I have seen the Maxim,MG34 and 42, along with the browning and many other LMGs and HMGs in action {Knoxville Machine gun shoot}, I tell you what I would not have the nerve to run at a MG34 or 42, let alone a Maxim,those ruskies had real nerve {or had to be real scared}, just seeing those weapons putting out all that lead! I did notice that barrel exchanges on the MG34 and 42 were done pretty quick,and they were easily stripped for servicing,where as the maxim took a little longer. If anyone knows where I can get a MP44 dummy gun or pats kit, I sure would be grateful

I have to say that I've noticed something about CMBO and CMBB. When the games first come out they are really good, but it is the modders that make it even better, thanks guys {and most of them do it for free!]

Go get a program called "Clone CD" they have a trial version if you want to "try before you buy",it will back up most any CD

Oh yeah and one more thing to Kev with the TNT2 card, Battlefield 1942 won't run using this [card, at least the demo won't},strange though Medal of Honor runs fine??

I agree with old dog the geforce cards are a good choice. I recommend them to my customers, and have put a lot of them in machines. I have hardly any problems out of them, and they support every game that is out there, { that I'm aware of} haven't had any compliants,I would suggest a geforce2 mx400 64 card {if your on a budget}, there is a little prob with the new nividia driver {when playing CMBO or CMBB, you have to alt tab out and then come back in due to not being able to read any of the battles or ops}. But I just use the previous driver, and have no problems at all {and that's playing any of the games. I'm sure someone else will disagree with me {there is a lot of that between folks I've noticed on this forum}but I've been running my puter company for a good while, and I know how to run it, hope it this helps you out
