  1. Only way to get them from CD is to reinstal, at least only way I have figured out. But I think XP has undo mechanism for such thing, at least if it was done through GUI. At least on some cases I have thought I was in program and pressed Ctrl-Z and windows asked if I wanted to do ..something.. to file I had just deleted or copied. But this propably should have been done right after you had replaced them... And things like this are reason why I refuse to install any non-CMMOS mods. It is just hard to make up your mind before seeing mod in the game.
  2. I don't think halftracks can be bought as platoons like tanks, so they can't be HQ/independent. But they can be bought as part of infantry battalion, so they can be part of infantry OOB.
  3. I have used different kind of boats in real life and still can't figure out what kind of boat CM boats are trying to represent. 2hp motor and required passenger to move doesn't really mix. Such horrible turn rates on ground doesn't make sense. Any similiar sized boat I can think of are actually quite quick to turn if boat is in water and people turning are outside either in water or on shore if shore is too deep. And only boat I wouldn't move backwards is sailing boat, every motor I have seen can also reverse and if passengers have to paddle then it shouldn't be problem either. And about RD tournament scenario. When I first saw scenario I thought what an interesting looking scenario, now I don't have very positive view of it. Unfortunately using game element that is seriously flawed makes scenario also seriously flawed. I for example lost battle already in setup, if would have knewn how badly boats are modeled I would have chosen very different strategy.

  5. In that battle I had troops near those flags, but they were about 80-100m away from flags because wanted my mortars to have LOS to battle area. But anyway I won the battle. Could say enemy was annihilated and luckily my losses weren't too high so won anyway even without those couple flags. Perhaps in this battle is just would have been better if wouldn't need troops sitting on flag. Map was huge and mostly open and just so damn big for our troops.
  6. Funny. I always thought you kept control if enemy didn't move troops there. During battle flags were of course shown as question marks because you couldn't be sure, but in end I thought you would control flag if enemy wouldn't have been even close to flag. If it has always been so I wonder why I haven't heard anyone complaint about it because it is really stupid. If I annihilate enemy and clear all important locations (flags) and can be 100% sure enemy can't move there it doesn't make any sense that I would have to leave one man standing in middle forest just to keep some magic flag occupied.
  7. Hi, I just finished game and noticed something about flags which I thought was different. I was attacking and attacked through 2 small flags and when secured them I moved my men forward. Next to both flags I had some men perhaps 100m away, but defender never had any units closer than this after I pushed them away. But when battle was over I noticed flags weren't in my control, I was 100% sure enemy couldn't have moved troops there but just didn't have anyone sitting next to that flag. Wasn't this different, control status didn't change unless enemy moved troops there. If it has been so and it was changed when did it happen and why?
  8. Have you tried using Shift-V? Remove vehicles and it is pretty easy to see who is riding where.. But your idea would be nice.
  9. Could someone tell me where I can turn autoplay off on WindowsXP? I am quite sure I didn't have it earlier, but then had to reinstall and now can't find how to turn it off. All I found was AutoPlay tab on CD properties, but even I have on all types "No Action" still get that stupid CDV autostart.
  10. Funny. I have had my guns damaged twice in CMBB. 1st my Marder III was hit by T-34 from distance of 500m(?) I think they got couple front hull penetrations first. 2nd my PzIV was hit by 76.2mm AT gun from distance of 200m(?) Sure my crews were happy that they only got gun damage
  11. Yes, you need unit in boat to give it orders. If you don't have unit in all you can do is check LOS. Used them first, or at max seconnd, time and plan was to drop first load and get back for more ...well had to improvise
  12. There was problem with program dropping "-" I had just before numbers, so of course it couldn't find turn file because it was looking for wrong name. But everyone go to get newest version, movie replay is easy. And there is new log feature in menus that you can use to find out what is wrong
  13. My game was played at normal speed, opponent didn't have PBEM helper. And anyway with other opponent fast mode didn't seem to work.. I think it complained for example about my resolution (1400x1050) and just couldn't get damn thing to work long enough to do single commands.
  14. How it is supposed to work? When I select Program/View movie I first get that help screen, press NO because game was QB. Then I press OK to accept value 2. So far it works way I supposed it would. Then I get normal file dialog to select turn file, here I was expecting it to select game from game list or something. What file should I choose? It would make sense to have to just select directory or something because in earlier window I gave enough information where to select right numbered file. Anyway when selected file program just tries to open that turn normally, so on second time I selected 007 file in games subdirectory. But function buttons do nothing, turn file is opened just normally. Tried while in playback and also tried after had pressed done. I am using XP Pro if that might cause something.
