  1. Hi DevilDog, Semper Fi, Is the Marine Corps scheduled to get Bradleys, or are they sticking with LAVs and AAVs?. I know the Bradleys are equipped with firing ports, so theoretically infantrymen could fire while inside the vehicle, I know that a SDKFZ HT is in no way compared to a Bradley AFV, but I'm just curious as to which way the Corps is going with mechanized war fighting.
  2. I apologize to Noba for my error, Aussies can spell. As for Berli, I will ignore his obvious attempt to bait me. [ October 16, 2002, 01:12 PM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]

  4. At least you don't live in a country where a bunch of do gooders try to protect you from engaging in such behavior. Oh, and Nestor you Limey git, its "i" before "e", except after "c", or when sounding like 'A' as in "neighbor" and " weirdo " the language is called English after all. 7. Speedy :Got the set up, get some sleep mate, my Eastern hordes are ready to make you cry like a little girl. Noba: Sent you a new ME setup. You should have more forces to lose now. As for the Bali outrage, my heart goes out to all the Australian folks who lost loved ones. These people are attacking us all, their goal is to return to the Middle Ages. As someone who experienced 9/11 up close and personal, I know the myriad of emotions that run through you during these times.
  8. Rubs sleep from eyes and looks around.... what is this new place he says?,,, all these happy people sharing wine and some Australian thing made poplular by a '70s song.. hmmm this could not possibly be?, there are no warnings on the door, no harsh words, only nice things. He recognizes some of the people there, same ones, he says, the ones who villify each other constantly, but they are all laughing?, they are polite to each other? even to Gaylord! I must be in the wrong place, he says, and silently walks away.... Maybe I should come back and turn out the lights? [ October 16, 2002, 07:07 AM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]
  9. Be careful, he didn't use a single ounce of that whoopass in our last game. Must have been stockpiling it for you.</font>
  10. Another one who sends no turns is that git Nestor. Maybe Nestor and Noba should stop making such a fuss of sucking up, and displaying such obsequious behavior, as to make a warthog ill. Maybe they are really the same person,.... which would explain the twin-like manner in which they consistantly demean themselves.
  11. How can Noba beat anyone, when he sends no fecking turns!!!
  12. While we are at it, why not fire up "Horst Wessel Lied"?, "Sieg Heil", tovarich. [ October 15, 2002, 09:24 AM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]
  13. When you try to make the distinction between a sniper and a sharpshooter in the context of the CM battlefield you can be accused of splitting crosshairs so to speak. CM depicts tactical level battles lasting up to an hour, which indicates to me that the units listed as sharpshooters are just skilled marksmen to be used as outposts or scouts to locate advanced enemy intentions as early as possible. To use them as snipers would mean locating them well to the rear of a CM map, out to ranges of 500m or more. A true sniper, or a man fitting that title, would lay in wait for days for that one shot. On a tactical battlefield the ranges are too close, and eventually a lone shooter would bring down a rain of fire upon himself. A sniper would take his shot and move on for the next encounter. That has not been my experience in CM, as the sharpshooter units usually get supressed or killed pretty quickly.
  14. I love watching the Aussies tear each other to pieces.
  15. Boo_ Spend a little less time in here displaying your lack of verbal acumen, and check your inbox!! I want the thrashing to begin.
  16. Come on, guys/gals, this is a forum to discuss a computer wargame, not real important or tragic things, such as the various insidious maladies that could strike us all down in a hearbeat. I think we have given this topic its due, and I think that Fire Fox is intelligent enough to know that when you post on a forum such as this, you can open yourself to criticism and ridicule if you give any opening. Fire Fox if you would like a PBEM game sometime, send me an E-Mail, its in my profile. CMBB or CMBO your choice. I relish crushing Btits on either front. 19. to be infantry in the open in CMBB? The firepower of squad weapons surely makes a bigger impact in this game than it did in CMBO. Even veteran and crack troops start kissing the ground when they get caught in a compromising bit of terrain. Sure makes plotting infantry movement a lot more interesting. Throw in a couple of mortar rounds and maybe a direct fire gun and they head for the hills!!!

Malanoma: Check your in box, twit!! Noba: G'Day, make sure your Ivans are dug in deep. Gaylord: Do you return to your homeworld on the weekends? or do you really have a life? SEND ME A FECKING TURN!!!! Speedy: 1800 my time, be there!!! In the words of the only living Australian Philosopher: "Potassium Cyanide, its Australian for beer mate!!"
