It'd be interesting reading forum comments from way back when... CM:BO was released back in 99, how much tuning did it take to get it to a fine level and were the original buyers patient for the fixes? This new engine is so radically different and IMO, worth the patches just as CMBO was.

I suspect the patching process has slowed everything including mailings but it would be nice to get a word on this.

Nice to wish but I'm hoping my Syrian forces ever live long enough to see daylight in the demo, the US optics and other tools are overwhelming in this scenario so now I'm assuming no Abrams will ever be taken out by Syrian tanks it has to be the rocket boys who will win the day..we'll see.

Exactly... BF knows they'd get bombarded with issues which eventually will get worked out and everyone knows or should know the first copy of anything new is basically an advanced beta test. Let's hope the BF gang doesn't slip into catering/replying to the whiner/bitch-er but instead focuses on the comments from members who are explicit with helpful detailed problems and issues..you just expect more of the BF forums.

I have no problems so far with ati xt 800 and XP with current drivers. I'm sure it'll boil down to a tweaking thing.

Welcome back and BTW, PBEM is crucial to this type of game especially for people who still work for a living..the reason CM series is/was so popular was for PBEM convenience. I'm totally confident a scheme for sending game packets without choking the old fashioned email system's still out there is just around the corner..I hope it's ready by the time I learn this game anyway.

I really wanted to make this a flame message directed to you and a few other *newbie's to game playing those who start out only hours after release whinning and bitching about refunds but you must be taught a lesson instead of a flame..put your keyboard away and start reading for a few days and chances are all your little whinny crybaby problems will be solved..sorry.

It's typical of new game releases now days especially walking the no-clue people thru even the simplest must-do's..BF expected this and I'm sure is well prepared. I'll give the PBEM a try today since it will be my most used game play after I learn how to play.
