  1. Chalk up another Canadian! 50km(30m) northwest of Halifax, Nova Scotia, in the parrish of LakeLands (named, obviously, for the numerous lakes), actually closer to Windsor, NS or the Annapolis Valley, famous for their apples. It's snowing today, we're expecting up to 10cm(4in.). Rare spring storm! Hello to all, KC
  2. It tells you the size of the scenario your playing. Check out Quick Battles for an explanation, also read this KC
  3. O'k, is it still asking for your video preferences? This may seem like a dumb question but.....have you tried doing a complete uninstall and starting over? This sounds similar to the problems many had when they received the faulty discs. Wish I had more to offer... KC
  4. No.......sounds like you have a conflict somewhere, Do you have both the demo and CMBB loaded? If so try deleting the demo. (shrugs),..but I'm hardly a guru KC
  5. Gerry, Disregard the cellar dwellers, they sometimes escape no matter how difficult we make it for them. *while sweeping the minorgnomes back beneath the dusty and frayed old mats* Suppression is the answer, ya gotta outgun the other guy. Moving those russian troops is an art in itself, MG's and AFV's on overwatch... Have you read http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=23;t=004792 thoroughly? There is all kinds of useful stuff in it. rgds., KC
  6. Wellll...I'm not useing CMMOS, so your choices are going to differ slightly from mine, even though some work with CMMOS and without. Honestly, I think it is a matter of personal choice, review the ones you might like and go from there. Hell, a good part of my fun has been swapping in/out different mods to find my preferences. Beware, your on the road to a CMBB life!! When your up for a PBem drop me line(see profile). KC
  7. As an alternative to CMMOS(for those of us PC challanged ) go to www.cmmods.com ,all the eye- candy one could stand! Btw., the good Dr. is dead on, the gridded terrain mods are the only true game play enhancements available, the rest are just wonderful, beautiful eye-candy, of which I have dozens!! KC
  8. Aghh hell, now I've gotta fess up. I found it while browseing Mike Dorosh's site, and *with his consent* I've started useing it. I've no idea where he found it, but if you ask him I'm sure he'll enlighten us. It sure struck home for me!!! KC
  9. Hmm, story must have come to the end of the chapter.............bump......................... KC
  10. For Quick battle against AI? Small-600-800 Med.-800-1500 points KC
  11. Gerry, Think real life. Winning a war is about taking out more of the enemies assets than you lose. I honestly do not remember the demo's, but I recall reading that they really are not indicative of the game itself. They were easy, the game is not. The real(for me) enjoyment in the game is going head to head with a human opponent, that's where CMBB truely shines. KC
  12. Hull down means only that the lower hull is out of harms way. AFV's often times had only time to get off a few rounds before they backed/moved away from the encounter, thus they targetted the largest and weakest part(the lower hull) of their adversary, especially at extreme ranges. This is not a bug. KC
  13. Crazy Dave?...... Soddball, sorry pal but Hortlund got you big time, every time I read your sig...I have to laugh. KC
