  1. Not at the moment, but this might be doable down the road, I'll bookmark this thought for the future. Thanks! Hubert
  2. I believe the behaviour you encountered was actually intended by me. It's been a while, so forgive me if this sounds a bit confusing, but I think my logic was that you receive a 'Last Turn Summary' the first time you load your turn from your opponent. This will only happen once and then once you start your turn, actions commited by you, i.e. killing off his troops etc., begins to be recorded for a new 'Last Turn Summary' for when your opponent loads his turn from you. As a result, saving and reloading after you have already viewed the 'Last Turn Summary' it will not be shown again to you. Hope this helps, Hubert
  3. That's a strange one, not sure if this would help, but maybe a reboot will do the trick? Hubert
  4. Not really sure what could be causing the problem, may just be a spit of bad luck. I know that CMBO and CMBB both use the same graphics engine so it's strange that one would work where the other does not. As for SC, if it's a random event it's hard to say why this could be happening other than me guessing there's something up with your system. Really sorry I can't be more helpful. Hubert
  5. Just checking in on this one, any results to note as of yet? Hubert
  6. Actually the patch listed here was just a temporary fix for PBEM replay for the full v1.04 patch that's available on the current Battlefront download page. I would not recommend applying it unless you have already applied the full v1.04 patch as there were other fixes included in the full v1.04 patch. I assumed you had already done that. The message you receive is just a warning that the PBEM turns were created with two different versions and to reflect the possiblity of some inconsistencies when playing with two different versions. Whether you choose to upgrade to the latest patch is entirely up to you, but it does fix a lot of small problems and should improve gameplay in many areas. If you wish to do this, simply apply the latest v1.04 full patch from the download page and then reapply this temporary fix for v1.04 as listed above. Hubert
  7. Currently it is only available online here through Battlefront.com. Hubert
  8. When I say installation folder I am refering to the folder in which SC was installed to, the default is 'C:\Program Files\Strategic Command'. If you installed SC into another folder then you will have to make the adjustment to unzip it to that other folder. Hope this helps, Hubert
  9. Hi Jonesy, If you have yet to be contacted, you might want to try the CM tech support or contacting matt@battlefront.com Hubert
  10. This is a good point, I think that separating user preferences is probably a good idea in a future version one way or another. Hubert
  11. Hi Pepe, Could you be a little more specific? Do you receive a visible error message? Does it not start at all, or does it allow you to get into the game but not load etc.? If you can check in your installation folder, there may have been a generated 'exception_trace.log' file created. If so please send it to me at support@furysoftware.com Also if you can tell me what OS you are running as well as all your system specs this can be very helpful. Thanks, Hubert
  12. OK guys looks like just a bit of a misunderstanding, but I think a little more patience and respect may be warranted. Let's keep it clean and hopefully things like this can be avoided in the future. Hubert
  13. Very interesting AAR's on the PBEM challenge guys! I haven't really heard back from too many games yet, only these ones so far, but I think some of these games are becoming very good indeed Keep it coming! Hubert
  14. Hmmm... try setting the US and USSR to both 'random' and you just may have a more challenging game. OK that could still be a problem, do you remember what hex it was, or at least the general area of hexes? Thanks, Hubert
  15. Hi Dolphin, I took a look at the file and it loads properly with my version 1.04 of Strategic Command. The file name is June2.sav but the in game date is November 13, 1942 to verify. Try double checking the version of Strategic Command you are running, the version number is at the bottom right hand corner of the 'MAIN MENU' screen and should read v1.04, as it may be possible the latest patch was not installed properly. Hope this helps, Hubert
  16. Hi Mppac, Yes please let me know what the response from sales@battlefront.com was. Hubert
  17. OK maybe, I am thinking a separate text file for each country for each unit type, then this could be edited by anyone to customize names... but of course no promises Hubert
  18. The problem may be similar to PBEM games as well if you have been sent the SAV game via email as some ISP's strip the contents of these files. Regardless, SC should be trapping these errors properly now, so if this is not the case I would like to take a look. Can you send me the file in question if possible? Thanks, Hubert
