  1. Okay the issue for me is that for SC2 Blitzkrieg I run a system command to register the dll if it is not already registered. This works under XP etc., but it sounds like Vista needs this command run as an Administrator in order for it to work. The preferable solution is of course to not force the user to register the dll and simply have the SC2.EXE register the dll as necessary... so I guess my question is if it is possible to register the dll via a System call (similar to running regsvr32 from the Command Prompt) as I do now under XP and have it seamless where the user has no idea what is happening but that the game simply just works sort of thing
  2. Vector, the scenario Objectives can be seen for the smaller scenarios with a 'Flag' over the cities. Note, I will be working to improve Campaign/Scenario Objective and Victory conditions to make them more transparent.
  3. ikszkom, when you registered the dll did you have to 'Run As Administrator'? I have yet to use Vista but I've heard that this might be a problem where in order to register these types of dlls you have to use 'Run As Administrator'. If so I was wondering if you know of any Flags or Switches that enable you to run 'regsvr32' as an Administrator from the Command Prompt.
  4. Just checking to see if anyone visits the site Slight delay on the patch but it should be out shortly... [ November 16, 2006, 10:54 PM: Message edited by: Hubert Cater ]
  5. Leedsunited40, if you place your Paratroops at tile 78,14 they can then reach Norway and attack Oslo without having to take Denmark first. Of course, weather will also have to co-operate, i.e. it will have to be clear, in order for your Paratroops to fully use their Operational Range of 6 tiles
  6. Sure send me a file and I can take a look
  7. Long story short, and from what I have heard, Vista does not seem to have the dx7vb.dll system file in its Windows/System 32 directory (it should) and essentially this is causing the problem as SC2 dynamically links to this file. If you happen to have access to an XP system you should be able to locate this file and I wonder if SC2 will work on Vista if you simply place the dx7vb.dll file in your SC2 installation folder on Vista. Any confirmation of this would be greatly appreciated
  8. Ok, had to think about this one for a bit but I see what you are saying here... I will take a look. Hubert
  9. Sorry guys... looks like the patch is now going to be delayed a few weeks while I work to correct this name misspelling issue
  10. Hi Sean, It will when the naval bombardment actually strikes a unit on top of a resource. A small change from SC1 was that naval and bomber attacks on units on a resource are treated as two separate attacks, i.e. one attack is against the resource and the secondary attack is against the unit albeit at a low ~10% chance of success. The % chance that a secondary attack against a unit will be successful can be increased for each level of Gun Laying Radar and Heavy Bombers respectively.
  11. Hi Anders, this is indeed fixed for the next patch. Hubert
  12. Nice thing about the game is that you can, at start up, deselect the script option that has the UK transfer its Government to Egypt... i.e. no need to have the UK move its Governement if you don't want it to
  13. I have yet to try Vista but I heard that with the latest version a customer was able to get SC2 running... if anyone else has access to Vista it would be great to have this confirmed.
  14. Oops, good catch although I think unfortunately a little too late for the v1.05 release... will fix this for the next iteration
  15. Hi Cordell, Anuman should have a release of the v1.05 patch ready shortly that will match the Battlefront release of v1.05. At present this is the downloads site I found for the French version of SC2 but the current patch v1.04 that they are hosting is in fact incorrect, i.e. it is the v1.04 Battlefront patch and would therefore be incompatible with the French release so I would hold off until they announce the v1.05 patch which as I mentioned should be available real soon http://www.strategiccommand2-lejeu.com/index.php?p=download&cat=5
  16. Also, for your CANCEL_CONDITION I would use the following line instead: #CANCEL_POSITION= 0,0 [0,0] [1,1] [0] otherwise my guess is it is constantly cancelling since there are 0 units at tile 0,0 Hubert
  17. Ok, difficult to say really without seeing the game in action... for example wrt the Garrison script what exactly is it not doing, i.e. if you hit the '~' key is the Garrision script assigned to the AI?
  18. Normal Dude, I would double check some of the VARIABLE_CONDITION lines. For example for the Norwegian Garrison you have it where it needs a minimum activation value of 1%... in fact many of these are similar. Also double check the country_id for the VARIABLE_CONDITION to see if it is correct as I am guessing this is for a MOD
  19. Off hand I can't remember exactly but I think there was a problem where it asked for both Allied passwords in a very specific situation... the exact circumstances I unfortunately don't remember but the cause of this issue has been resolved for the next patch. I think if you start a game where Axis goes first it works ok.
  20. Nothing actually as this was reported as a bug and fixed for v1.05
