  1. Ok just an update that it looks like they are the same root error but causing two different results in game... will fix this for the first patch. Hubert
  2. Landing casualties is as far as I remember only dependant on terrain but Terif probably knows this better than me as I forget a lot these days... essentially brain capacity was filled up a long time ago when SC started rolling out
  3. Game stores unfortunately do not want games like SC2 anymore... sad but true
  4. graveyface1, In Poland there is generally not a lot of supply so it might not have been as good a supply value as you might think, i.e. generally well below 5. Generally though the AI uses a set of algorithms and if the eventual reinforcement value fails a check, i.e. will it be high enough to warrant remaining in the current position etc., then it will retreat units to a better supply location. That being said it could be as John mentioned that it did not have enough MPP to bother with the unit and so on. Hope this helps, Hubert
  5. AstroCat, for now this can't be done and is limited by what n0k0k has described above.
  6. Thanks for the files guys... looks like these are actually two separate issues but I am now looking to correct these. Franky, if you have the chance I will need to look at the customized campaign, scripts and all to verify what I think might have happened in your case. Hubert
  7. CSS, yes what Beta patch? SeaMonkey, not sure what to say as Vista is a bit of a beast on its own creating issues with many games. Hopefully though when you are just playing the game it plays well under Vista despite these problems with the sleep mode etc.
  8. SeaMonkey, Do you mean slow wrt to the AI or wrt how quickly the game responds to your own input, i.e. clicking on buttons, moving units etc.? Hubert
  9. Primasprit, For multiple monitors and DirectX7 it is a little tricky. DirectX7 only runs well in multiple monitors when the application is in a windowed mode. You can try running the game in Windowed mode, i.e. not Full Screen, but when the game is not run in full screen the application is not optimized for speed. So what this means is that it should work better in Windowed mode but not necessarily as fast as it could if you were running it on a single monitor in Full Screen mode as you already noticed. Hope this helps, Hubert
  10. xwormwood, any chance this is a customized campaign? If not can you tell me if you de-selected any events or made any adjustments to the default setting? I'm only asking as I have never seen this before but I am wondering if perhaps I missed something for the case where one of the events, if disabled, caused this anomaly. Thanks, Hubert
  11. volcatius, The current Kalypso release is a full German language release and may be available in other locations other than Amazon.de. For example I believe it will be available in retail in Germany as well. Other than that I unfortunately don't know more of the details but you could always contact them or your local retail distributor on exactly when it might be available. For the English version this is currently only available via Battlefront and of course all versions will be fully supported via patches as they always have been.
  12. volcatius, the current Amazon.de version is a new German release via Kalypso that includes both Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare although the latter part does not seem to be mentioned on the site.
  13. MJY, n0kn0k is correct... depending on which side you select as the non-AI side it may take at least a turn or even two before the AI stops playing against itself. Also, don't let Pzgndr scare you off from using this feature... especially if you simply enjoy watching the AI play itself since from time to time I do as well
  14. Samichlaus, 1. If you have any saved turns that I could look at to repeat this error that would be great. 2. For the crash there should be an error.sav file created in the ERROR directory found in your WaW installation directory. Could you send me this file at support@furysoftware.com? Moving this to the Tech support forum...

  16. Stragic Command, You can do this by using the F4 key either before selecting a campaign, i.e. when in the MAIN MENU screen, or once in game. The AI vs AI mode can also be turned off or back on again at any time by simply hitting the F4 key a second time during game play. There are more details in the Manual that came with Weapons and Warfare. Hope this helps, Hubert
  17. Retributar, Perhaps one of the modders will come up with something like this but if you are feeling creative you can certainly do something like this via the Editor and a few scripts... of course you'll need to dig up some of the required pics too.
  18. Franky-Boy, if you have a saved turn where I could repeat this I'll gladly take a look. Please send to support@furysoftware.com Thanks, Hubert
  19. Hey guys, seems as though I missed this original report. If either of you have the saved turns where I could repeat this please send it to me at support@furysoftware.com.
  20. Another option to speed things up is to not run in windowed mode, i.e. select full screen mode in the SETTINGS dialog and this will help although it may still run a bit slower just due to the extra graphics like rail and road. I understand about the tech support issue but if you get the chance it can't hurt since they might pay attention if they get enough tech support reports. You could just mention the game by name and how it runs very slow and apparently as a result of the Video Card and the amount of video memory required. You could mention it is a DirectDraw application that runs using DirectX7. Either way glad to see you got it working ok! Hubert
  21. You caught me at a good time as I was checking the forums
  22. Hi Murks, Can you send me the autosave.sav and the Error.sav turns so that I may be able to repeat this error? The Error.sav can be found in the ERROR directory in the installation directory for Weapons and Warfare. Send to support@furysoftware.com Thanks, Hubert
  23. xwormwood, cantona66, seems as though there is possibly a bug with some of the ATI cards as this is the only card that appears to have an issue. What our internal tests showed was that there was a problem whenever a certain threshold was reached in terms of video memory for some of these ATI cards. When we tested running the game in 16 bit mode, i.e. which lessens the amount of memory needed, it seemed to work fine and so this was the fix we generally provided for users to try. We discovered this because the only difference between WaW and SC2 in this regard is that WaW uses a bit more Video Memory due to the extra bitmaps used in game. It is a suspected bug in the cards since nothing has changed between games except the extra memory needed and it only occurs on a specific set of ATI cards. This work around worked fine until Cantona66 reported that the game did speed up but unfortunately did not display properly in game when running at 16 bits. I have attempted to contact ATI but have yet to hear back and if you have the chance I would also suggest filing a Technical Support error report with them to see if they can provide a solution. Here is the main link I have found: http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894 Note you will need to create an account and this can be done by clicking on the 'Sign In' text upper right hand corner. Hope this helps, Hubert
