whats the best interface mod out ?
BeauCoupDinkyDau replied to TerrorX's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Thats exactly my combo, too.[/QB] -
the German tanks? BTS' originals 'sparkle' too much for my tastes. I saw Marco had an awsome Canandian set of tracks when he was previewing his last set of commonwealth Shermans, but the tracks didn't make it into the release. I would've used thouse puppies on my German armor. So is there a good set of replacment tracks out there for the German tanks? [ February 04, 2002, 12:51 PM: Message edited by: Vader's Jester ]

whats the best interface mod out ?

I use the gunmetal interface and clip boards for in game stuff, and the excellent Tank Girl bmps for the rest. I have been looking for a new intro splash screen though. I found a great one but the person's link on his web page was broken. -
They are historicly light. They are good books if you don't know anything about a specific battle or unit. I have one on Peral Harbor, the battle of Kursk, SDB Dauntless units of the Pacific, and 4 on German uniforms that span the whole war. Be warned however, they have poor editing in many of them. I have found many errors in grammer (my spelling sucks so I probably missed a lot of those errors), and my Osprey book on Peral Harbor has many inaccurate pieces of information in it. Like I said, they are a good introduction into a battle or unit, but not much else.

Should I? Or shouldn't I? CM or CM2
BeauCoupDinkyDau replied to Jackie Chan's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Yeah, although the eastern front is my fav, CMBO will stay on my HD (and get played) for a long, long, time. -
Yeah, Matt's right Colonel. Sudden Strike is a little too much. Make'em play twich deathmatch games for all eternity. That'd make anyone go insane.

Oh my god! You took CM off of your hard drive??!!! Thou shat dwell in hell for this!

Scipio, why would people insult you? If you were not attacked for the quality of your mods, then what was it? I've had a few people say rude things to me on this forum. It's unfortunate, but a normal part of life. Were you attacked by one or more people on several occasions? For the most part, the CM players and designers on this board are great people. Why???

Stupid mod preview and question
BeauCoupDinkyDau replied to AndrewTF's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I'd use it Andrew. I've been looking for a replacement for DD's camo smocks. I thought I might have had it w/ Cap Wacky's 'Return to Cas Wolfenstein' feldgrau, but it had no equipment and looked too much like crushed velvet. I didn't want my Krauts sitting by the fireplace with pipe-in-mouth and book-in-hand. If you don't want to send it out, just e-mail it to me. Oh, and yes, what the hell? -
Lock'em up and kick'em to the GF Matt. You always do it to me!

You guys rock. I loved all the tracks on the front of that Sherman BTW Marco! Gave it a great "late war" feel. -
Panzershreck sets fire to building!
BeauCoupDinkyDau replied to Herr Kruger's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Well the allies were trying to make an insurance claim on that particular house anyway. They had doused it with flammable liquids before the shrek arrived on the scene. The AT team just saved them from waisting a good Zippo. -
You ever gonna winterize the rest of the Commonwealth Shermans like the Firefly? I loved the ones you have done already! I have all my US Shermans in snow, and the Commonwealths you've done in whitewash.
