Searching US WWII camo uniform
SGTHenry replied to Scipio's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Yes I agree to check out Dragon toys. They make great 1/6 scale figures and have a couple of marines in the cammo you mentioned. -
I have good luck usually with planes against armour but I guess the planes in your scenario hit their target they just needed a different payload.

Do you track your CM stats?
SGTHenry replied to Herr Kruger's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
No I don't track my stats but it may not be a bad idea if it doesn't take to much time. At least to see how I do over time. -
My favorites are usually SMG squads for the money.

Virtual Tour of Aberdeen Proving Grounds
SGTHenry replied to karch's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Thanks Karch. Wonderful pictures. I hope to go there in the spring myself. Loved the german tanks on your site. -
I have often misidentified enemy tank units but I have learned to expect the worst so as not to lose units.

Tactics discussion: Thick fog at night
SGTHenry replied to ElGuapo's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Yes you must lead your armour with infantry and scout scout scout. Then try to out flank them. I know it had to be tough with such poor LOS. -
It was a good question. I remember the only dumb question was a question not asked. Good replies about the slitting and rejoining of infantry units. Thanks guys.

Looking for an UNbalanced scenario . . .
SGTHenry replied to KnifeForkSpoon's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Jabo or Reisburg would be a good scenario. -
This is very true. You have to remove the assault boats. It was very frustrating for me as well.

Great picture. Love the mods. Hope to see more of these again later. -
Apologies about the CMBO obsolete thread
SGTHenry replied to Cybeq's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I agree no need foe an apology. CMBB is just a sequel to an already great game that I do not believe will acumulate dust. Play on. -
I would concur with the above posts on the skirts. Especially about heavier tanks not having them. At least in most of the books I've read.

-
Pandamonium, caos. CMBB orders to crash servers? Could that happen. LOL. We just all have anxiety waiting for the release.

Moving crews off map, is it wise?
SGTHenry replied to Lah's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I agree with Tanaka. No points lost but it does affect morale. At least as long as I have been playing. -
Bye-Bye CMBO(insert my tears)
SGTHenry replied to Tread Head's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I to would enjoy the western front. I will be patient and wait for more news and would enjoy it being released in the upcoming release but if not they will only have time to improve on the game itself. I'm sure they read and consider our posts but have to do what is best to stay afloat and continue to offer unparalled service. -
Is a damaged HQ unit less effective?
SGTHenry replied to tenfive2's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
No effect. The last one to die would be the officer. As long as I have been playing anyway. -
would you define this as gamey?
SGTHenry replied to aussi's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I would not consider it gamey either. Your were using your available assests to scout ahead. Maybe try another person when playing tcp/ip games. It may just have been the way the other person felt about it. Keep on gaming. -
A pseudo-strategy guide for newbies
SGTHenry replied to markshot's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)

Tips on taking out those pesky 20mm's please
SGTHenry replied to Ex Bellator's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Use on board mortars or high mobility units like jeeps or armored cars. -
I would advance my troops forward and attempt to rush their positions.
-
MG Jeeps. Is there best way to use them?
SGTHenry replied to Louie the Toad's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I usally use my jeeps as scouts or rear security. I will have to try the use of jeeps for fast attack of the enemy's rear area.
