im still fairly new to cm, ive been playin a mate of mine a couple of times a week and the best ive managed against him is a draw. ive never quit, and i steadfastly refuse to surender (surrender is for the weak )... but to quit over loosing a tank, thats just pathetic... at the end of the day, its just a game... i guess some kids just cant handle loosing.
gday,
i have a wierd problem with the hotkeys every now and then. they will work fine but then for some reason they swap with the shift-[key] commands...
e.g. i will be using p to place units in a game, then it will change like im holding down shift and go thru the display path options, and i have to hold shift-p to place a unit...
does anyone else get this? it goes away after reboot, but its be nice if there was some other way to fix it...
later
gday,
prolly an age old problem, and i know ive seen something about it before, just cant remember where...
working on a scenario atm, but it wont let me play german single player... only hotseat, pbem, tcp/ip...
any help?
later
well ive only had cmbo for 2 weeks, this was only like my 4th tcp/ip game. previously i had used my crews as scouts and was promptly informed it was a big no no. so i was looking for another way to scout without using vehicles. i learnt pretty quickly that running lots of inf into woods blindly can be a very costly experience
shameless advert, if anyones looking for a tcp/ip game, gimme a holler on icq 1579427

last night i was playing a tcp/ip game and trying out some new tactics. i bought a platoon of british glider which i spread across the map and then split into teams of 3 and 4 and used them as 6 groups of advanced scouts for the bulk of my infantry... the guy i was playing told me this was a "gamey" tactic, im just wondering what other poeple think.
