  1. Schoerner Many thanks for the SS Patch works perfectly for me. Have tried it on 2 PC which I have networked and its works beautifully. Again many thanks for your efforts on the behalf of us CDV ites. Douglas aka DougieB Belfast NI UK
  2. Hi All Mini what?? Had a look after they emailed me. CRAP!! Like something I used to play on Atari 800, and not even as good. Basic childlike graphs et al. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast NI UK
  3. Hi All Regarding the US exe file of CMBB. Ipreviously posted on this subject. I have CDV Vers of CMBO and my son has US vers. We switched the files and attempted to load CMBO (CDV Vers) using the US exe file (No cd detected was the answer). I have to assume that CMBB would be the same. So therefore just substituting the US exe file for the CDV would not work . Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast NI UK
  4. Hi All (Those lucky b`s who already have CMBB) We poor Anglos have now to wait until 10/11 for CDV version. But I digress. I fought Yelnia Stare in the Demo as Axis with no modifications to either side and won a tac victory although the Russian hordes were almost on top of me, but I still held all VPs but one. For those who think the inf too brittle I disagree. Fire and movement are the criteria to be applied here. Buit maybe when I receive the full game I may be of a different opinion. Still I thought CMBO was fantastic and judging from the comments on this forum from those playing. I think CMBB will be even better. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast NI (UK)
  5. Hi Just to join the roll. My times for CMBB Demo Yelnia Stare (first 3 turns) average (from go to end of blue line) 26secs. I am currently running AthlonXP 1500 on Jetway 867AS mobo with 512Mb PC2100 DDR ram. I do not think the Graphics card makes any difference but for what its worth mine is a lowly Geforce2 Ti by Gainward (64Mb 4.5ns DDR Ram). I think my HDD may have more of a bearing as it is only a 5400 WD 40 Gig. In CMBO my times for a scn on equivalent size average some 6 secs faster. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast (NI) UK
  6. PARABELLUM Thanks almighty (there is a God). Brilliant and I thank you for wasting playing time to post the screenshots. AWESOME Can`t wait for CDV to launch the English vers, I might just order the German (Although my German is nearly 30 years rusty). Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast (NI) UK
  7. Markshot I have a Toshiba Laptop with a lowlt Celeron 650 and ATI on-board Graphics. I have CMBO installed and it plays well although my graphics are set at 800 x 600 as this is the best the beast will do. I use it when I am away from my main PC> So with what you propose to borrow/beg or whatever you should have no problems. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast (NI) UK
  8. Hi There Regarding MikTs suggested solution to the CDV CMBB WG Problem for European Players. I have the CDV Version of CMBO and my son has the US vers. We copied the CMBO (US) exe file into the CDV vers afer renaming the CDV exe and tried to load the game. CD not detected was the result. My installation was from the CDV Vers and after changing the exe to US vers, as long US disc was used , it worked although the installion files were CDV. I have to assume the same will apply to CMBB. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast (NI) UK
  9. Hi All Youall very lucky, at least you will get CMBB shortly after release date 9/20, while we poor Anglos have to wait to 10/4 for release of CDV Vers. I hope you can sleep at night. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast (NI) UK
  10. Kump Enjoy the rest. Brilliant Job, very well done. Hope everyone appreciates the time and effort you have put into it, I certainly do. Deserves a CMer Medal if such a thing were to exist. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast (N.I.) UK
  11. Ex Armoured soldier QRIH Long history of table-top gaming with 1/32nd scale and 1/300th scale miniatures. SL and ASL Board Gamer. CMBO embodies all of the above with realism and a 3D environment. It also allows one to re-enact certain engagements on a "what if" basis by allowing the purchase of different mixes of equipment and manpower at PLatoon and Coy level without the need for a massive physical terrain board, and it ROCKS With the added benefit of a marvellous forum to educate in and enhance the Game with some great Characters. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast (N.I.) UK
  12. AndrewTF Would like to try your scenario. Will try it PBEM with my Son Gary Barr email address: capt.stransky@ntlworld.com Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast N.I. (UK)
  13. Re Last Ooops WWII not I Sorry Douglas
  14. Warphead Brilliant - Only other time I ever saw mobile WWI German armour was 1961/2 at Bovington Tank Museum, Dorset, England when they restored an Africa Corps PzIII (the 50mm Lang Special) for return to West German tank museum.(Still the Cold War era). I was at the Lulworth Gunnery School training on the old 20pdr Centurions. Douglas (aka DougieB) Belfast N.I. UK
