  2. I have never had bad d/l speeds either. Surprised you didn't post this in Tech Support forum instead of here. You should check into your own systems and servers before blaming BF. If you don't have an IT engineer on hand, maybe your neighbor's 8 year old kid can help? Otherwise this makes it look like an attempt to restart the "why doesn't BF use STEAM" discussion again.

  5. The camos are good as they literally disguise the model imperfections. The plain color clothes need a lot more dirt, wear and tear, showing the folds etc. But, I can see that is a lot of work.

  9. Ah, ok. Thanks for the clarification. I only scanned the briefing. (The formation jargon went right over my head.) I quite like the concept that we should follow orders rather than do what seems to make most sense. It puts the player in a RL exasperated CO position dealing with the politics of having to make it look like the ANA can do the job, when we know otherwise.
  10. Terrific AAR. It does teach that Strykers are very vulnerable like WW2 halftracks - ie have no business being so close to enemy units.
  11. Hey, you ever going to amend "A Helluva Take Over"? I really want to play that again. But as you know, I think it has some flaws... That Syrian Air is devastating, and I don't think western forces will ever do an attack without air superiority.
  12. My initial thought on seeing the set-up (so no spoilers here) was that it seems that one should leave the greener ANA forces as defenders and use only the Brits for the offensive operation. That seems a shame as it's interesting to use both forces as best one can. I think that what made a "Helluva Road Opening" so interesting was that the ANA were (supposed to be) the primary force while the US and Germans were in "support" which of course was needed. But, the point is that the ANA were used actively. In "Green" they seem destined to be left behind to defend the bases. Or, am I missing something?

  15. Does the Company or higher HQ being alive or having C2 to sub units actually have any leadership/morale etc effect on those sub units? Or, does a Co HQ exits purely for aesthetic reasons.
  16. Well... it needs to be emphasized that CM2 is essentially a different game than CM1 - it has a similar name a similar-looking interface. Many people still play CM1 as it is a different and more fun/easier experience than CM2 which is more of a detailed simulation - and consequently more work. They are both entertainment products, but many CM1 fans were initially shocked/dismayed by CM2 as it was not what they thought they were getting. ie: CM2 is not merely an "upgrade/improved version of CM1". As a result, CM1 is still alive and thriving at WeBoB and other places.

  18. Did you save your set-up turn? Your vivid description sounds like it could be good enuff to post as a scenario.
