1. The rarity modifier for US rockets is already quite high. It's the base price which is low, which is based solely on battlefield utility.
2. I'd give the Centurian the nod over the Pershing. But it didn't enter service until 1946
3. With vertical armor? In 1945  The Pershing had better armor and a better gun. It did lose out on mobility
4. There is a known bug that can prevent vehicles from moving through holes blasted in bocage. Hopefully it is fixed in the patch.
5. US rockets are so absurdly under priced that I can't help but wonder if at some point in development Steve's fear and loathing of QB unit prices got the better of him and he just started plugging in Bingo numbers Compare the US T27E2 Xylophone with the German Nebelwerfer 41: US German 114mm 159mm 384 rockets 180 rockets 8 minutes delay 13 minutes delay 85 pts 351 pts When you have the ability to turn the other side of the map into the surface of the Moon for about the price of a halftrack, using rarity isn't enough. Their base price is so low the rarity hit is manageable on medium sized games and up. They should be banned altogether by agreement before the game starts.
6. Greyhounds and Stuarts are good for quick flanking dashes.
7. There may not be anything that can penetrate the Panther upper front hull in the game right now. The turret and lower hull should be vulnerable to at least some degree to the US 76mm (especially HVAP rounds on the M10 "late") and the Sherman 105 HEAT rounds.
8. I have noticed some setting changing on their own.
9. Try this: 1) Unhide them. You could also give them target arcs containing the Shermans, or give them direct target commands although direct targeting seems to make them more likely to fire their small arms, so just unhide them with a target arc. 2) Give 3 or so pause commands to give them enough time to fire the Sherks. 3) Plot a Quick or Fast move order. If you want them to stay in the same place you can plot the move order onto the same spot they are already at. 4) Highlight the move order cube thing by clicking on it. You can now issue a hide command that they will execute after the move is completed. You could also give them a short covered arc on the end of the move to ensure they don't jump back up and start shooting again.
10. Are we playing the same game? I once set up 10 consecutive Huge size QBs with AI picked German forces on the "Mixed" (HA!) setting, just to see what it picked. In 5 of them it choose all tanks.
11. You sure 'bout that? CMBN manual pg 61: "Elite is identical to Warrior with only one difference: Enemy infantry icons are always the plain "soldier" type, regardless of their armament or function."
12. Indeed, and it appears there is something about that location against the bocage that is causing the bug. Hopefully BFC will get it straightened out.
13. Elite and Iron are only relevant in RT mode, where you don't have time to click on everything. In WEGO there is no reason to ever play higher than Warrior.
14. The target line appears to go be several feet to the left of the tree. I have also seen too many instances of tanks firing multiple consecutive rounds into trees between them and the target for me to believe the tree would deter the gun from firing. Looks like a bug to me.
15. +1 I'm guessing the reason it's a one man job in the game is the animation would be complicated. But shooting small arms at the tank first to warn it of the incoming rocket is surely something that could be fixed.
16. For some reason the elevation change with the mouse wheel seems backwards to me also.
17. You can target indirect fire onto some places that are slightly outside LOS. It's mentioned somewhere in the manual.
18. I fart in Australia's general direction. No, really, I do. Unless I'm standing up, then I try to blast Canada.
19. And on a related note, if a tank gets knocked out do you use the escaped crew to spot for other tanks? They can dismount their tank and scout ahead anyway, so when their tank is destroyed they are just permanently dismounted.
20. That seems reasonable to me. But you look back in this thread and you see one poster state that even a Sherman tank sent out like that would be gamey in his view. Inevitably these discussions just reveal that what is gamey and what is not is far more subjective than some would like to think.
