  1. There also doesn't seem to be a setting where you can play paper, scissors, stone to see who provides the beer and pizza.
  2. I think BFC would be quite interested in this one - how odd.
  3. The Peng brigade tends to adopt anything remotely female on this forum, as far as I can tell, and spends hours farting around being nice to them.
  4. Well, I can put an explanation of why the tutorial is all back to front, but as for rewriting it - I haven't even read it. It's in PDF format and I spend xxxxxx billion hours a day staring at a screen anyway.
  5. Soddball, did you even READ what I wrote? If you did, you certainly didn't understand it... Read it again, maybe it will come through this time. "change the way the game works" - did I say that? "change the combat system" - did I say that? "change all the graphics" - "all" the graphics? Did I say that? "change the company ethos" - yes. And they already have, in a way... CDV? I put that "DISCLAIMER" there, in capital letter, in hope that I would steer clear of any "rolling eyes" posts, but that obviously failed.</font>
  6. So what you're saying is: change the way the game works, change the combat system, change all the graphics, change the company ethos, and then port it over. Good plan. I second this motion. I think that BFC should, whilst they're doing this, spend some time snowboarding in hell.
  7. I agree, I think a lot of people probably don't understand the development cycle. Sitting down and writing the code is only part of it and normally happens towards the end of the project.</font>
  8. Does C-4 really offer the same face-melting quotient as TNT, though? It's not just explosive mass that's important.
  9. Tell me where the advanced tutorial is, and I'll patch in the information to the first thread.
  10.   GGRRRRR PUS    Added because MasterDon'tBeatMeSir forgot to put it in. Tch. Amateur. We'll replace you with a talking plastic duck.
  11. Anyone else preparing for games? I am close to completing a rather jolly little scenario which I think would amuse even the most pitilessly sadistic amongst you.
  12. That is cool, and by cool, I mean totally sweet. Makes me want to flip out and kick someone in the face.
  13. They were braver in CM:BO, that's true. What's also important, though, is that the suppressing ability of machine guns, and the effectiveness of machine guns to hit multiple targets at the same time, has been included in CM:BB, where it wasn't in CM:BO. One scenario I put together in CM:BO forced the American player to push his troops across largely open terrain with some scattered trees towards a long ridge, atop which were some MG bunkers. THe MG bunkers barely slowed the troops down. I have redesigned the scenario for CM:BB and unless tanks disable the bunkers or they are covered by smoke, the infantry barely move at all.
  14. Incidentally, you have proved your ineptitude to me by editing a single line of text.
  15. I'm here, bitch. How about when Parabellum's finished greasing your turret ring and penetrating you with his 75mmL48, you let me show you how us forum veterans fubar up a game of CM:BB. Once, I was but the learner. Now I am the master. Edited to make it sound worse than it did. [ December 04, 2002, 12:46 PM: Message edited by: Soddball ]
  16. I claim this turf and all the babes in the name of MasterGoodale's Thread of Cheery Waffle !! Begone, all of you, and leave me the babes.
  17. Or in the Cheery Waffle thread...that's a nice place to be with MOLTEN TNT AND MELTING FACES MAGGOTS     Actually, I've just had a look in the Fansite thread. I think I'll move in there.
  18. I like the idea of the "run away! run away!" Monty Python thing best. Any chance you could recode it so we hear that WAV when they withdraw?
  19. I never thought I'd see that individual again. Gorsh. Hi mum, lock him up!
