What's Your First CMBB game going to be?
Soddball replied to Chad Harrison's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
A scenario where I can beat the pulp out the Finns. I can then rush to the board with screenshots bellowing "BFC please Fix!! Or do somefink!" -
The "Give the BFC boys a hug" thread
Soddball replied to Soddball's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I always found that Finnish girls went like rabbits Maybe you Finnish men just don't have what it takes - you're too busy being Uber and blowing up star destroyers with teacakes. -
RoW II: The Boots & Tracks Brawl (Part IV)
Soddball replied to Treeburst155's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Am on my final turn of the fight against Bertram, all other games completed. Please vaiting! -
Well, we know you're beavering away like mad things at the moment, chaps, to produce this great game. We also know that a tiny minority make life harsh for you and waste your time - mentioning no names, but I blame Doug Beman entirely, even though he isn't involved. So, all you posters who think BFC are doing the right thing with their game, come here and post them a *hug*. They can come in here and feel loved Here's my one *HUG*

CM:BB Interview about details of the European release
Soddball replied to Scipio's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Posted by Pascal di Folco: Pascal, you're a cretin. Why don't you go and read some of the threads on this matter before yapping off? And until you start practicing German law as it applies to Nazi symbolism, do us all a favour and don't talk. You have over-reacted. -
RoW II: The Boots & Tracks Brawl (Part IV)
Soddball replied to Treeburst155's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Last turn between Ugbash and I now, and last three (?) turns with Bertram. *pant* nearly there! -
How do the fronts differ in CM BB?
Soddball replied to Prinz Eugen's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Well Tero, since you're obviously a neutral observer in this debate, I'm waiting for the documentary proof that finnish men used to urinate on the welds of the russian tanks to weaken them before they attacked them head on with rusty knives. If you want to play "Invincible Finns rule the world", why don't you fire up a game of Unreal Tournament with the cheats on? [ July 28, 2002, 06:28 PM: Message edited by: Soddball ] -
Magnificent 1/15/th & 1/16th Scale Ger. AFVs
Soddball replied to John Kettler's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I don't know about you, but people like him having access to the internet, let alone sharp objects, scares the crap out of me. I'm glad he's not English -

Try reading about the Brummbar. The guy needs some help. He probably gets laid less often than Fatmouse. -

How to attack like a Soviet Rifle Corps in 1944
Soddball replied to Andreas's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Any data on how the flamethrower units made it to the front of the attack? Mine are usually about 4 miles back and reach the battle on turn 99 of a 100 turn scrap -

Juju - where is your crater mod?
Soddball replied to WineCape's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
If you've got the right operating system, you can set it to schedule backups of your company data onto CD/R. Windows 2000 includes basic, but adequate, backup software. -
Rex - they also had a pair of Churchill flamethrower tanks there - I didn't get any photos because of the numbers of people climbing all over them. There was only one Stuart that I spotted this year. There wasn't a Panzer II that I could see, but there was a Panzer IV without skirts - although it was in the middle of the arena so I couldn't get any closeups. I believe the Tiger is the same one as last year. The firing demos were good, as were the re-enactments (they had a Vietnam one, a Normandy landings one and a couple of others). One of the blasts in the main arena was meant to simulate an airstrike, and even 200m away we got hit by the heatwave!

Bridge types in CMBB
Soddball replied to StarFleet Captain's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
No railroad bridges for CM:BB. I asked the question a few weeks ago and the Mad Bald One answered my question, if not my prayers. -
"Evil Jumbos" and "l33t gerbirgsjaegers"

Ayeee! Unmodded Combat Mission! My eyes!!! -
My favourites are: 1) This classic motor vehicle: 2) The finest example of the German Army's fighting force: For the Modders: I have high-res close-up shots of: Jackson Chaffee Sherman Greyhound Hellcat T-34 20mm Flak 37mm AT gun 120mm mortar Halftracks (both sides) Universal carriers Jeeps Hetzers If you need any shots, email me. For everyone else - let me know what shots you want to see (I have a few more of most of them) and I'll get Gyrene to put them up. Finally, a photo of Simon Elwen (left) and Anthony Vickers (right) cuddling up to a halftrack - yours for only £4,000.00 (the halftrack, not the lads). They were kind enough to buy me food and drinks after I gave them a lift to the hop farm - even after they had to suffer my driving I am using Hot Billy's Top Smack for the grass in all the pictures. The girls are sitting on my face - hence the blurriness of some of the pictures. [ July 22, 2002, 06:15 PM: Message edited by: Soddball ]

Notes: I have no idea what the big bastard thing is. I labelled them as best I could, but if I'm wrong, then tell me. I do have a huge wodge more pictures, in much better resolution, but I'm on a 56k modem. A quick taster for those who found it too much effort to click on the link: I want this to be modelled for CMBB: Can anyone tell me what this is and where it would have been used? A little pressy for the Bren Tripod brigade An extremely rare vehicle - a 6-wheel jeep, and this is the only runner in the UK: I felt that this model of the jeep was somewhat undergunned: Can someone tell me what guns I'm looking at in this picture?

Should I buy CM:BO?
Soddball replied to imported_Hiram Sedai's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Get the game. Then when all his female friends ignore him, you're in with a better chance because you can claim that you despise all wargamers and love shopping for shoes.
