1.
quote:
Originally posted by Lord General MB: Soldier, Tanks, what scatered tree bases mod are you using?

I think I heavily modified somebody's tree bases for the scattered trees, the treebases are mine. I haven't released either of them yet.
 2. Not as bright of a blue color as version 1. Not as dark as version 2. Should I send it out? or just jump in the deep end.
 3.
quote:
Originally posted by Philippe: This is a wonderful wall and I would be more than happy to have it sitting around my house. I would also be more than happy to see it sitting inside Gordon's CMMOS building set (whose next edition will include a separate line for walls). I will write a rule set for it immediately. If you could send me a copy of the wall (padivine@aol.com) I'll make an icon for it and try to get it into Gordon's (very imminent) next release. Gordon's next edition of CMMOS will also include fairly detailed coverage of natural terrain. In reviewing what has been done so far I couldn't help noticing that the range of rough terrain mods available would be considerably enhanced if an Ed Kinney original were added to it. Any chance I can convince you to make one up ? It might not have to be anything more complicated than the rocks from one of your Ford mods, but please don't let me interfere with the creative process. Philippe

Thanks Philippe. I actually made a hi-res rough mod several months ago, but never released it. When I get back from soccer I'll see what I can do, and send you the wall mod.
 4.
quote:
Originally posted by Rollstoy: I think the top of the summer wall should be brighter than the side walls because it catches more sunlight. Regards, Thomm

Unfortunately the same graphic that is used for the side is also used for the top and end.
 5.
quote:
Originally posted by Gyrene: I like it too. I can't wait to copy it. Gyrene

I'm planning on having the wall crumble to pieces if edited without my permission.
 6. Summer and winter wall textures. Let me know if there is any interest. It may take as long to write a disclaimer.
 7.
quote:
Originally posted by Juju: Hi Guess you all (well, some) remember the pleas for buildings 'needing' to have a 3D rubble tile, instead of the flat thingy we have now. Now, I don't know the first thing about coding and stuff, but I'd like to suggest this: Whenever a building collapses wouldn't it be possible to change the entire building graphic/properties set into another graphic/properties set? What I mean is you could have two graphic sets for each building. One intact and one collapsed set. The idea would be that the properties of a building tile would be swapped with a 'rubble' tile (Thus eliminating roof, second floors and changing the cover/LOS properties of that tile) upon collapsing. Too wild? Or maybe just possible? I've tried toying with it a bit with paint, to see what a collapsed building might look like. Apart from the roof and the fact that one can only view no more than two sides of a building (meaning it's not transparant) it has possibilities. Here's a pic of an extremely basic try. For fun:

What have you done to my buildings? Actually that is a good idea. I hope there is more flexibility with buildings in CMBB.
 8.
quote:
Originally posted by Diceman: Very nice work, where can I get it?

Thanks. I sent the winter buildings toThe Last Defense last week. They are not up yet, but keep checking.
 9.
quote:
Originally posted by Pascal DI FOLCO: Are these beauties somewhere now  ? Else mail them to me Tanks A Lot, I'll post them !

Thanks Pascal. Check your e-mail.
 10.
quote:
Originally posted by Cubbies Phan: I agree man, that church is real cool. I like that stone look a lot better. Did you revamp the regular church as well?

I just made a summer version. Should I send it out also?
 11. Just finished winterizing my tall buildings including a re-designed church.

 13.
quote:
Originally posted by Juju: Guys, I don't know if you've missed the huuuuge and beautiful nightsky Tanks recently had released on the Last Defense website. you really should look at it. What's so special, I hear you ask? Well, when you move around the screen at night (duh) the stars actually twinkle!!!!. Might be just my videocard, but the effect is very cool! Check it out Thanks Tanks!

Thanks Juju. The stars twinkle on my system too. I don't know why, but I thought I'd better release it before I mess it up.
 14.
quote:
Originally posted by Peter Panzer: ...gee folks, ya'll reckon this guy knows how to convincingly render concrete? slick, tanksalot. ...would you consider applying your skills toward the paved road .bmp's? seeing as both you and juju have heightened the quality of the pavement, as well as the heavy, stone structures, the current road textures have a rather limp-wristed air...

I'm currently "winterizing" my large buildings. Maybe after that.
 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Richard Morgan: I went to the Last Defence site and couldn't find the pillbox mod. 20.
quote:
Originally posted by John Kettler: Tanks a Lot, Keep this up and you'll be working for KwazyDog! I'm sure it took hours to make all the requested improvements, but you have every right to pat yourself vigorously on the back. The improvements are dramatic. Would it be possible to pull the point of view out some, that we might see what this looks like in a tactical environment, rather than being practically in the firing slit? Whether you can do this or not, congratulations! Sincerely, John Kettler

Thanks again John. I think it's improved because of suggestions from you and others. Thanks for the help and nice comments.
 21.
quote:
Originally posted by John Kettler: Tanks a Lot, Please post a picture of the latest design iteration. Am intensely curious! Thanks! John Kettler

I tried to deepen the look of the embrasure and increased the shadowing of the upper stairstepping. I can't seem to get in touch with 109 Gustav. I don't know if he ever received my mod.
 22.
quote:
Originally posted by USTanker: Can someone please send me the web address for The Last Defense?

The Last Defense My bunkers are not up yet, but it's a great site to check out anyway.
 23.
quote:
Originally posted by mrcobbler: Tanks, that final version is a great look. I still can't find it at any of the sites yet. Who will get it, and when?...... Thanks. Shoeman

Thanks. It actually isn't the final version. I improved the stair stepping and removed the poster. I sent it to The Last Defense yesterday, but 109 Gustav may be having trouble with his e-mail.
 24.
quote:
Originally posted by Pascal DI FOLCO: Tanks a Lot, Did you publish the bunker finally ? Else you can email it to me

I sent summer and winter versions to The Last Defense yesterday.
