  1. From the Microsoft support site: If you want to be prompted for a download location for the file type, follow these steps: Double-click My Computer. On the View menu, click Folder Options. On the File Types tab, click the appropriate file type in the Registered File Types box. Click Edit. Click to select the Confirm Open After Download check box. Click OK, and then click OK. MORE INFORMATION When you first click a link to download a file, the File Download dialog box appears. You have the following options: Open this file from its current location Save this file to disk Always ask before opening this type of file If you clear the Always ask before opening this type of file check box, you indicate that this type of file should always be opened with the associated program. The file is then downloaded to your Temporary Internet Files folder and opened. If the Always ask before opening this type of file check box is unavailable, there is no program associated with the file type. For example, if you download a file with a .zip extension, the check box is unavailable unless you have installed a program that can open .zip files.

  3. MMMMMMMMMMMMM, Ultra-res. I'll take one of each. Great job Juju.
  4. It should be under accessories/entertainment/sound recorder.
  5. The opening theme has to be in stereo format. If it's in mono, it will sound speeded up. Windows sound recorder can convert them to the proper format.
  6. Both games never crash for me and It's hard to believe that BMPs could be the cause of your crashing. I can see graphical glitches but not crashing. The game would just ignore bmps like 420a and 440a since they are not used, so that shouldn't be the problem. I noticed both crashes occured during pbems. Maybe try playing against the ai with Juju's flag mod and see what happens.
  7. Thanks for the nice comments guys. Keith: I remember using DD's wheat for a long time. We'll have to see what he comes up with for CMBB.
  8. Colonel: He means my tree mod at the CM Mod Database</font>
  9. Thanks guys. It's good that some CMBB mods are still CMBO compatible.
  10. Sorry for not responding earlier. I assume you mean my trees and not treebases. They will work in CMBO, but it will take some work. The bmp numbers are different for many of them, and since there are more trees in CMBB, several would have to be left out. I'm not sure how they will look in CMBO since thet were designed to fit in with the default CMBB terrain. If you are still interested, let me know and I'll walk you through converting them.
  11. I also posted this in the CMBB forum, but since it's compatible with CMBO I thought I would post it here too. Available at The CM Mod Database Both summer and fall textures and a lower res version for slower computers. I forgot to mention this in the readme, but there are two extra textures that are not needed for the CMBO version. 2110.bmp and 2111.bmp are only for CMBB. They won't overwrite anything if you copy them into your CMBO bmp directory, so it shouldn't be a problem.
  12. I don't think Juju sleeps any more, just so he can keep producing these great mods for us. Thanks, and I can't wait for the next one, which will probably be later today the way you are going. [ December 04, 2002, 12:10 PM: Message edited by: Tanks a Lot ]
  13. Available now at The CM Mod Database Includes summer and fall textures, and re-colored doodads. I also made a standard-res version for slower computers.
  14. I'm not sure if this will help, but I couldn't open .zip attachments after SP1 until I did it. In Outlook Express, go to tools/options/security and unselect "do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus"
  15. Winzip works fine in Windows XP. If you still have the installation disk, just install it in XP. I don't know if zipping pbem files will reduce the file size though. I think they may already be compressed. A good zip program is a must regardless.
  16. 1. You can only format cdrw discs, but they are usually already formatted when you buy them. If they need to be formatted, your cd burning software will tell you. Regular blank cds can't be formatted. They are ready to go right away. 2. They are 700 MB each disc.
  17. The forum morphed my thread into another one and won't let me edit it. Available at CM Mod Database
  18. So it doesn't have it's own .BMP file?? COG</font>
  19. Rocky terrain tiles are just the rock doodads on grass tiles. You can't make the doodads any bigger.
  20. That is Ed "Tanks A Lot" Kinney's excellent tree mod. I really like it for two reasons: It looks great, and the trees are "higher" than the default ones. You can play will full trees on and still see your units. You can find it at the CM Mod DB looking under Tanks A Lot as the designer.</font>
