Smaragdadler's Oriented Grid Grassmod
Stingray replied to sawomi's topic in CM Normandy Maps and Mods
Install Veins desaturated terrain mod first then the grid mod. In my case, I labled the mods: Za-Vein Desaturated mod and Zb-Grid terrain mod . Then put both in the Z file. It worked. -

Steve - Martin: Please help me.

I have re-sent the photos as you suggested to the HELPDESK with my BFS store account. I am not sure if the photos were attached successfully. I have also re-sent the photos to: sales@battlefront.com. If you cannot locate the pictures I attached in my e-mail to Helpdesk - please check the "sales@battylefront.com" . If everthing else fails- give me an address so I can mail the damaged steel box, all the photos and copies of the e-mail thrugh the regular US Post Office. I hope this finally puts this issue to rest. I really do not understand why all my previous e-mails were not received. Thanks -
I know you guys are very busy but I DO NEED YOUR HELP. I informed BFS on 5/23/11 that the steel box I received was damaged (#OZE-595819). Martin sent me an e-mail on 5/24/11 asking for some photos which I sent on 5/26/11to helpdesk@battlefront.com. Receiving no acknowledgement to the e-mail and photos sent on 5/26/11, I re-sent the entire e-mail again last week to helpdesk@battlefront.com. Yesterday, I got an e-mail informing me that unless I replied in 24 hours the issue will be considered resolved. I replied immediately saying the issue has not been resolved. I once again sent the photos of the damaged steelbox. Today, I got an e-mail saying that since I have not replied within the alloted 24 hours the matter is considered closed. It seems that all my e-mails are not being received. Please help.. Thank you.

Need help in differentiating between hedges and bocage particularly the small type. I was playing an armor only QB and planned my flanking tanks' move only to be foiled by impassable small bocage which I thought were hedges. Is there an easy way to differenciate between the two? I even examined my intended path close up... maybe I need to take extra courses in botany or forestry... It would be of great help if some kind modder would make the hedge a very different hue of green so that it can be seen even from a distance. Help please.. Thanks

Have been engrossed reading the CMBN manual. Great stuff and very well written. I have read all the manuals from CMBO to CMSF. This manual is the best ever. Good job guys. Thank you.

For those of us who are visually challenged, may I request a small mod: can some modder please make the hedge tile of a lighter green color? This will be of great help to distingusih between a small hedge and a bocage. Thank you

Can a scenario map be used as a QB map? If this is possible, scenarios can be an additional source of QB maps if the designers will upload the maps. Request to map makers... please make more small maps for QB. I like playing small unit fire fights. Quick and intense. Thanks
-
Would it be possible for scenario designers to upload their scenario maps into the QB map file? In that way, we the unwashed and map-challenged plebians, can have more QB maps to play with.

Please Help...CMBN fails to start
Stingray replied to Stingray's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Thanks for the help. I have a Nvdia G Force 8500. Updated the driver. Seems to work. The only very minor problem is the BFC start splash screen is messed up. After that it works!!! -
After saving a scenario and exiting, CMBN (game) fails to start again. I have to shut down the computer before CMBN will launch. It seems that the game does not fully shut down unless I restart the computer. Thanks, any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Amen to contour lines or colored tiles. Having a very difficult time placing snipers and OP's. A means to determine difference in elevations will help. Hope this is possible.
-
Thanks Vein for making CMBN even better !!!

I prefer playing QB with small units (a few platoons -a company max). These small firefights can be intense and quick. So map makers please make me some more small QB maps. Thanks

CMBN (not demo) won't restart after shutdown
Stingray replied to chris talpas's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Found a better solution. Opened Norton files. There is an option that prevents Norton from scanning certain files. Included cmbn game and demo to the "DO not scan" list. PROBLEM SOLVED !!! -

CMBN (not demo) won't restart after shutdown
Stingray replied to chris talpas's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Had the same problem. Solved it by: 1- Deleted (using the control panel) all cmbn files. you need to manually remove some files. 2. Turned off my Anti-Virus software (I have Norton) 3. Re- installed cmbn Make sure the Anti Virus software is disabled everytime you play cmbn. If you forget to disable the anti virus... you need to do steps 1-3 again. Hope this helps until BFC can find a better solution.
