Il-2 has great graphics and stunning detail. And its much older than CMBB. CMBB is great game yes. Its graphics arent todays standard tho. I think this is mostly because relatively old game engine by now.

MOD POSTED Bi color StugIV 11th Panzer Division
illo replied to tracer's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hmmm...shouldnt Stug IV have 8 roadwheels/side. I think one in pic is Stug III. -
Great! Could you possibly ask what range could they hit enemy vehicles? Were kills from range of 3000m normal?
-
IIRC I read somewhere just the opposite. Himmler being in charge of Volksturm had power to direct them large amounts of automatic weapons. With VS units low combat value this was ofcourse waste of resources. [ December 30, 2002, 05:52 PM: Message edited by: illo ]

THE BIG MOD PREVIEW THREAD *ALL MODDERS INVITED*

Impressive mr. Noob. Now that every soviet tank has been modded atleast twice maybe someone would start modding axis vehicles? You can count mods for late war axis verhicles with single hand. Shiny non weatherd axis tanks hurt in my eye in battlefield. Fix or do somefink! -

Interface could be better. As few examples... Mouse wheel to adjust camera elevation. Unautoresetting camera angles would be ok too. Pictures tell quite much of game. So I don't wonder why they were used. [ December 14, 2002, 06:56 PM: Message edited by: illo ]

Thanks, that seems quite reasonable. My tanks must have been shooting slightly off angle then. -
Is vertical part of valentines front hull impossible to hit?
illo replied to illo's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Its part of front armor not a side box. [edit]after looking some more pics it seems extension over tracks could be ammo storage. However parts visible over driver plate slopes are actually also front plate. So those slopes at sides wont have much effect considering shots coming directly from front.[/edit] Isn't this vertical armor plate? [ December 13, 2002, 11:31 PM: Message edited by: illo ] -

Could you explain me how hitting hull part you call "side box" in Valentine. Differs from hitting of front plate in PZKpfw IV? As you can see from profile inside those boxes were crew compartment. No additional armor is underneath them. 75mm round inside crew compartment will have some meaningful effect. :/ [ December 13, 2002, 11:35 PM: Message edited by: illo ] -
If I search on net result will be everywhere. 37mm Flak 43 L/89 In CMBB I see. 37mm L/57 Which one is correct? How do these two cannons differ in performance? http://users.swing.be/tanks/engins2/346.html http://www.achtungpanzer.com/flak4.htm
