  1. My Königs Tiger just got knocked out by single Stuart from 12oc at 600m. Front turret weak spot penetration. Is this realistic...any accounts of US 37mm penetrating KTs Henschel front turret from ww2? Is this even possible in theory? ...i can not see how.
  2. I had elite Tiger which missed Cromwell that was heading directly against it from 12clock position. Tiger gun pointing at it for many..many seconds. 1st shot 50m miss (short) 2nd shot 20m miss (short) Then cromwell passed my tiger from 2m range!!! It must have filled gunners sights at 50m for sure...how can elite gunner miss from that position. Cant think why he aimed ground. You dont have to count ranges at 50 or 20m distances. Its not about zeiss optics...you dont need any optics from 20m. Oh and about AT mortars...I knocked out 3 Jacksons with 1 81mm mortar last scenario. There is no way human can calculate exact distance and direction of an enemy tank, the wind speed and direction, and flight time of round and disable dispersion factor from his mortar all under 10seconds...looks like we have ultimate math geniuses as mortar crews. 3. Lüchs!!! Lüchs!!!! Lüchs!!!! LYNXLYNXLYNX make mod, make mod make mod..plz, plz,plz
  4. thats it...key over tab, or just anything doesnt bring up chat (( please tell me how i can send messages in TCP/IP.
  5. Mortars seem to hit tank sized targets usually by second or third round. How mortars can be this accurate?? Is mortar shooter some mathematical genius counting in seconds exacly where rounds will drop? I dont get it. Last TCP/IP play i bought 2xHetzers. I knocked out opposing armor but then mortars started to tease me. I tried to keep my Hetzers moving to escape mortars...1st Hetser got hit by 1st mortar round and was killed..second got moving. Moment later i had to assign new movement orders..Hetzer stopped for few seconds BOOM!!! mortar killed it..now with second round hit. Usually in defensive scenarios i manage to kill 1-2 tanks per 81mm mortar...this doesnt feel very realistic...please explain it to me someone...how mortar can be aimed so accurately? I thought dispersion is tens of meters.
  6. Im experiencing some problems with my email, seems my mail server is down. please try: laatokka@hotmail.com
  7. I havent found any mods for Jagdpanzer-IV. It would really need one...so please help me. Ive included my wishlist too: Jpz-IV Lüchs Some german halftrack variants look poor too (same way that old H-39)
  8. One thing that really pisses me off goes as following: My recon spots enemy tanks moving along the road. I set Panther in ambush position at about 90dgr angle using building or trees for cover. (Commander should know enemy tanks are coming!!! there is even infantry in the house or forest observing and tank is unbuttoned) Then just as enemy tanks are coming in front of Panther it sees infantry at 300m to opposite direction...turret rotates. 3 Shermans come along road and soon my Panther is dead with some rear turret hits!!! So if they know that multiple enemy tanks are 30m away..why to rotate turret to opposite direction??! Other thing is, why it takes about 5-10seconds to fire after visual contact at extreme short distance ambush. I would guess there is round ready in barrel and aiming should take no time when enemy pops directly in your sights. With current system Tiger and Panther tanks would be far better without any turret...Tigers just wildly change targets in multi bogey evironment never getting a shot (just try Wittmann scenario to see some really mindless turretswinging and rear turret penetrations...huh and they say Wittmann was elite I just hate advancing towards enemy tanks with turret pointing backwards to some stupid vehicle crew. ...sorry i got just bit frustrated. great game anyway ...well awesome [This message has been edited by illo (edited 11-22-2000).]
  9. PUNT! ..err how did this great topic drop back to page 4?? Wasnt it shown here that CM had some problems in its gunnery modelling? Im talking about that german 88L56 and 50L60 test which showed some relativity info. Has CM modelled these guns with same relative accuracies that RL test showed??
  10. In finnish book "Marskin Panssarintuhoajat" following stats are said from 75PaK/40 AT-Gun(1944): Range:8000m Effective range:1800m (20%) Suggested range to open fire at non moving target:1200m (50%) Suggested range to open fire at moving target, using lead predictor sight:700m Expected rate of fire:7-8 rounds/min. Expected hit percentages are in brackets Target is most likely considered as russian medium tank (T-34/76,T-34/85?) [This message has been edited by illo (edited 10-27-2000).]
