Hehe, go get it, Marcus!Originally posted by tools4fools:ParaBellum,
First thanks for all the screenshots! Remember our little Sturmtiger at the sneak preview
Upon reading that CDV shipped early I checked the homepage of Mediamarkt in Pratteln, Switzerland and they got CMBB there. Release date said 17.9.02!!!!!!
One phone call and Im on my way!!!!!!
Bye....
Marcus
****
Just one tiny little problem here....
I actually had a lot to do today 'cause I knew tomorrow and the rest of the weekend I'd play CMBB 'till I drop. Then it came.
But then, who needs food, money and clean clothes anyway?

Kerry, did you try to right click, click on properties, copy the adress and paste it in your browser?Originally posted by Dirtweasle:The envy from this side of th Atlantic is palpable. For some reason the pictures are not working from me here at work. Could be something here with the firewall...
Jochen, You lucky devil!
Hope it works, this one's for you:

The Su 152 has a blast value of 305, the SturmTiger one of 2116! What a beast.Originally posted by Gryphon:Parabellum
Could we have a screen of the purchase screen for the soviet armor in 1944?
And what's the blast value of a Strmtiger round compared to the ISU-152
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Gryphon
Gryphon, I don't want to post too many details, since I think it would spoil the fun for many.

OK, when you start a new QB and you are asked for the map features you can now load an older (saved) QB map or a map you created via the editor.Originally posted by Hawk:Para, could we get some hot info about the editor?
I'd really would like to know what's possible to do with a save-game file (i.e. when you load the end game file into the editor).
Thanks for all the info you give us! I've cooled off a bit now ...
So you can now create a map, play a battle on it, save it and use the same map with all the craters and damages for the next battle. Nice for creating mini-campaigns...

It is... Don't want to spoil the fun showing off scenarios.Originally posted by Hoopenfaust 101:I hope thats a QB map. (sturmtiger pic)

Someone we both know?Originally posted by UPCdave:Actually Parabellum...there is a certain Hauptsturmführer in the widely acclaimed 'Marxdorf' scenario which deserves to be shown to the world...go on...yes, the smart looking bloke with a funny last name
OK, so we got wishes for Hungarians, a truck, and, ah forgot it.
Wait, yes, a SdKfZ 251/22.
Ok, let's see what I can dig out...
Give me a few minutes...

Ok, here we have the heroic Unteroffizier Bauer (Lol!) with his Sturmtiger.
Looks like there's a heavily fortified soviet strongpoint in the church...
We'll see to that.

Well, I don't want to spoil all the fun.
But the IS 3 is definately NOT available.
At least not in June '41...
-
Ok, while we're at it, any suggestions for the next screenie?

[edit: OK, here's no.1... some T34s advancing at dusk...]
If you can't see the pic, right click on it, click on properties, copy the address and paste it in a new browser window, that should work.

No CDV logos all over the place, just one screen when loading CMBB, pretty much like the demo. And the US soldier is still on the cover...Originally posted by UPCdave:Parabellum,
Despite remembering all too well the failed Axis attack at Herr Zimmerling's house I simply must get my filthy hands on the German version...just so I can see 'Sturmangriffe' in the orders menu.
Just a quick question...are there CDV logos splashed all over the place? Is the US soldier still on the cover? Mate, we need all the info...then you can get back to your thesis.
David
Ah, the Sturmangriffe!
And "Durchschlag" in my ears sounds way better than "penetration" *cough*...

1.) hotkeys are the same
2.) the manual so far looks good, I've read through some chapters and think it's quite well written. Haven't read too many briefings yet, but the ones I read sound pretty good, too.
3.) I had no problems at all, especially since all the keyboard commands are still the english ones I'm used to.
-
Yep, I'm currently playing around with the editor to see all these beautiful tank/vehicle models. That'll take me some time..
Thank you all for such a marvellous game.
-
Yep, only parts of the manual are available in printed form.
The rest is a PDF file.
Looks like the complete manual has 152 pages.
-
Ah, the snow, the snow!!
I mean, yes, a meeting in October would be nice. Hope you're getting better soon.
I'll email later, maybe about 4-5 pm.

Andreas, I guess I first want to check out all the units and goodies.Originally posted by Andreas:Oh, Parabellum, email me for a TCP game if you are interested.
But in the evening I'd like to play you.

Hehe Tomlin, beat me...

Yes, I NEVER expected it to arrive so soon.
I was sitting here, doing some stuff for my thesis when suddenly the doorbell rang.
God, who's this? I'm busy...
"Post, a package for Mr.Baur!"
"My god, come in, fast!"
OK, install completed, I'll be back...
WOOOOHOOO!!! I GOT IT!!!
