  1. Woohoo, we can finally talk about it, just saw the results. I did pretty good, very happy with the results. Ciks got me good because I tried to rush his positions in a coup de main in the early game, but he held and pushed me way back. I'd like to get in on that CMBB tourny, if i'm eligible.
  2. I think most people who have played these scenarios should be able to make a decent and fair judgment, would just take a few seconds. And then we can move on.
  3. keep up the good work guys. And keep those TOAW scenarios flowing.
  4. Man, this is too much, I can't take living in a Manxless world anymore.
  5. Why not use TOAW, and have a game master send out files to the commanders, they can move their units, but not attack. The commanders declare which units they want to attack, and the game-master moves the TOAW units back and forth in hotseat mode depending on the outcome of a combat mission battle.
  6. 1. Campaigns of some sort(any sort). 2. Chainsaws for my engineers. 3. 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 internet play. 4. BTS hire Norm Kroger 5. any combatant vs. any combatant, ie. SS vs. Herr
  7. Disclaimer: Just constructive critisim here. Odd that you would pick something that the boys at Atomic already did years ago, although in more detail and from a diffrent scale. And also odd that you would try and compete with TOAW which now covers a timeframe from the late 1800s to the early 21st century. Granted TOAW is not perfect, but does an amazing job of modeling operation level warfare. hex or no hex. Good luck to you guys, but I'm sad your going to cover such a short time frame and area of warfare. Sad what happened to TOAW with all the sequels and having to crank out another 45 bucks for the latest version.
  8. Dirtweasle, you are a true man. and I like your style. Restricting your set up time is probably more realistic, to represent the the fog of war or a commmander never having enough time to do everything he wants too. I'm the same way, I like a nice basic "plan with branchs", I pick my schwerepunkt then go to deploying to achive my objectives. Of course the terrain is the most important factor when planning your attack or defense.
  9. Welcome to the party, I hope you have a cable modem or dsl, because you've got a lot of downloading to do. See you over at the CMHQ chatroom. You don't have to come around for tcp/ip games, you can just BS, tell warstories or ask questions. We can help you get up to speed. But you will be busy for at least 2 weeks doing nothing but testing out how diffrent armored fighting vechicals perform against each other.
  10. lots of great tips for newbie scenario designers and those you want to perfect their craft.
  11. What about the comment that someone made months ago, CMBO is just a tactical wargame with WW2 skins. Change the bmps, and you've got a fantasy wargame, with diffrent types of war rhinos with large magical lasers, and infantry with their own smaller lasers, catapults that toss eggs filled with magical energy to dig out entrenched troops, and dragons with huge magical eggs that they drop where their dragonriders tell them too.
  12. Maybe for you Rick, but I plan on increasing the coverage on my car, then driving it out in the rain, wrecking in and spending the next 6 months in rehab living off the state, and playing CMBB. My little girl is almost a year old, so now she has to hunt for own food, cook, and fend for herself.
  13. Ah yes the flying sewing machines. Harry Turtledove has one of his main charcters in his World at War series who was a "Night Witch".
  14. sweet, I'd like some of that. This scenario taking place somewhere around Orel?
