1. Thanks, Bill, for the thoughts and for all the excellent scenarios you and the gents have provided. A good holiday to all
2. Undoubtedly the BEST CM mod I've seen yet! [This message has been edited by Gadget (edited 11-18-2000).]
3. One * means light damage, two * is heavy damage, and the bldg may collapse real soon.
4. Just take the comma off the end of the URL and the link works fine...
5. Just finished d/l them. These are incredible. The more I look at the first, it DOES look like a photo.
6. I'll usually reward myself with a few pints of Guinness when I win. Then again, I always console myself with a few pints of Guinness when I lose.
7.
quote:
Perhaps BTS should offer to review the AI of the ballot machine in Florida.

I understand Florida still uses paper ballots. Kinda like still playin' wargames with cardboard counters.
8. Just so's ya know, Tamiya's 1/16 Tiger 1 runs about $700US (list $1300!) Check Model Expo at modelexpoinc.com search on product # TM56010 Some of the description ...
quote:
The ULTIMATE R/C TANK! Be the commander of Germany's famous Tiger I WWII tank! You'll experience the sights and sounds of this legendary war machine as you start the engine, track the enemy, set your sights and... fire! The motor roars at a deafening pitch. The tank lumbers forward, reverses and pivots. The massive turret moves into position. The main gun fires with a shriek and a flash...

9. Deanco I'm still using your excellent HIVIS interface, I prefer it to Grog. Haven't tried healthbar yet, but ... BTW, POW and TG are quite useful - even after playing CM for awhile. [This message has been edited by Gadget (edited 11-07-2000).]
10.
quote:
Are we looking at 6 months, 9 months, or years before release of CM2?

What's your rush? Have you beat the AI on all the original secarios and all the new ones out there?
11. While looking through B&N I found: Atlas of WWII (ISBN 0-7607-2043-6) reprint of a 1995 tome showing overall maps and some div/btl info ... and Tank vs Tank (ISBN 0-7607-1966-7) an illustrated history of armored warfare. The maps here look potentially useful, and some good photos and specs. 13$US each. Both B&N reprints of older books.
12. Ever more impressed every time I see your work. Simply incredible!
13. Trotter's review in PCLamer (June?) also convinced me to d/l the CM demo, and I ordered it the next day. Also, in the Nov issue, reviewing a Medieval wargame (appropriately titled "Medieval") he quotes the developer as saying "Games like Combat Mission are the tip of the iceberg for the future of wargaming ..." Why are some idjits knockin' CM? Got me! They should go back to cardboard counters and dice (maybe I could sell my old AH and SSI games to 'em!)
14. East Coast (LI,NY), some weeknights, SS too.
15. Having already bought CC2 & 3, CFS, CFS2, and a whole lot of other sh- ,uhh stuff, 45 bucks for CM is FAR and AWAY the best software investemnt I've made. That was obvious from the Demo. To second (or third) MrPeng - "GAH!"
16. Tanks, Tiger. Excellent work, as always.
17. Great news, Steve. I look forward to the update. And I have to second the idea of using MadMatt for the sound bite.
18. The site looks great, and I had no problems navigating or downloading using Netscape (4.7.5) Excellent work, Gary. Now I think I'll just have to install your tree mods and play again . . . Bob
19. Unitl CM appeared in my mailbox on Thursday . . . Age of Empires II Combat Flight Sim Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed Quake III Arena Close Combat Rainbow Six + addons SimCity 3000 Homeworld Freespace II StarLancer
