  1. Thats your problem its a Meeting Engagement battle and those types of battles don't allow preplanned artillery barrages. You can look in the CMBB manual page 215 under artillery changes
  2. I don’t think your option idea would open up cheating but I know I would just let the AI do my targeting for me because I know it could do a better job. I never want to see a FPS version of CM and I would never purchase it. I would rather BTS spend time adding in the correct stats for vehicles and equipment. I'm tired of FPS games.
  3. Your problem is T34/42 don't have radios so when your subordinate tanks button up they lose LOS to your HQ tank and early war russian commanders used hand signals to command armor platoons You just have to unbutton them to get them back into command. I hope this helps
  4. I think the M3A1 is at a disadvantage because after it buttons up and with no cupola its going to be hard to spot all the infantry when they are within a hundred meters. I did a test with a regular rifle company and an axis platoon of panzer 38(t), which did have a coaxial and bow MG plus a medium turret with a cupola. The panzer’s after spotting the infantry buttoned up and opened up with only their machine guns and routed two of the platoons and the other platoon laid low and didn’t move. I think the Stuart just has a very big blind spot when its buttoned and without a cupola it will be hard to spot all the infantry platoons
  5. I’m sure the vehicle textures for the next patch will be of vehicles submitted by people during the vehicle-modeling contest. I’d think since my name is in the manual and my vehicle is in the final release that it will in the future be getting its own textures in the next patch. I haven’t even used it yet because I want it to look historical when I take it into battle. I’m all for the 251 Halftracks getting their own textures in the next version too.
  6. Thanks, Thats all I needed to know It is not possible with the current iteration of the editor. BFC posted that themselves IIRC.</font>
  7. I know where to get rubbled building but I don't want those I want damaged buildings. You know the buildings with one and two asteriks.
  8. I'm guessing I need to ask someone from BTS the answer to this question. I was hoping someone might know but no problem.
  9. I’m having a bit of a problem in the CMBB scenario editor and can’t find how you can add partially destroyed buildings in scenarios. I’ve done the searching thing and can’t find anything so if anyone knows how to do it please post the directions here so I can do it in my scenario. Thanks

  11. This has already been fixed, its listed in the fixes for version 1.0.1
  12. I think the camera angle was changed becasue the trees are taller in CMBB or something like that.
  13. What kind of movement orders did you give to your HMG and mortar teams? The best movement order for MG teams is move. Your support units can run but a very short distance and if they don't have a HQ with them they will get exshausted and it will take forever to get them unexhausted. I've had to run with a full load of ammo and a M16, I 'd hate to see how far I'd run with a Maxim MG or a 50 mortar. Your answer is in your topic, the move command is the best. 14. This is getting kind of low so giving it a nice little bump back to the top.
  15. Hey BTS any new news on the CMBB version 1.01 patch? I know MadMatt said the patch wasn’t going to be released until next month, which would be November. I’m just curious because it’s been really quiet on the forum and just wanted to know if any new stuff was going to be added? I would think some more BMP’s would be added to complete a few more vehicles. I also have a question about why can’t you select the type of ground conditions you want in a quick battle like very dry, dry, damp, wet… Etc I’m looking forward to getting that annoying damp ground bug in Quick Battles squashed.
  16. You don't manual target minefields with engineer squads, You just position your squad about 15 or 20 meters from the marker and the squad will automaticaly throw a satchel charge to clear the minefield or if its a daisy chain minefield it will disappear.
  17. I really don’t care about BTS"s decision about what to add to the 1.01 patch because I trust their judgement. The only thing I care about is when will the patch be done with testing and be released. I’m mainly looking forward to getting the rid of the place holding BMPs and making everything look correct and getting the rest of the vehicles for Italy, Hungaria, Romania, and Finland. I also have special interest in seeing the vehicles for Germany completed since I have a vehicle which I submitted and is sharing a BMP with a panzer 2. I also wanted to be the 163rd poster on the this thread. Thankyou
  18. Pre-planned artillery barrages are not allowed in Meeting Engagements. You can look in the CMBB manual on page 215 which says "Planned" artillery strikes( the kind you set on turn 1) are not allowed in ME battles. Hope this answers your question.
  19. The opponent finder forum is a good place to find battles and opponents for PBEM or TCP/IP. I'm a regular in the CM/CMBB opponent finder forum and have no problem with people responding to my posts and joining my battles.
  20. They already have that option to show the amount of trees on the battlefield in CMBB. Try using Shift T, controls the amount of trees
  21. The T26 does have two turrets but neither rotates, only forward firing MG's.
  22. Why would you need any help to spot 75mm or 82mm mortar rounds? You know where you’re targeting with the artillery spotters or armored vehicles. You can always rewind the action phase and watch where it’s landing. I understand that 75mm and 82mm artillery craters are small but there are so many craters popping up that is shouldn’t be that hard to see. You can also move to view 2 or 3 to spot incoming 75mm or 82mm artillery strikes. I’ll tell you what is hard spotting and that is 50mm mortar rounds; those shell craters are really small and very hard to spot.
  23. I just did a test in a QB I'm currently playing and if you embark a infantry squad and a team then the sqaud gets moved over and one of the squads individuals is riding on the exterior of the 251/1 halftrack and it goes back to normal when you have the team disembark. This is with a full strength squad and tank hunter team. Thanks
