  1. I believe anything with a small silhouette has a better chance of being in a hull down position behind gentle slopes and small hills or might be easier to position in hull down. Hey the best technique for achieving hull down is park your armor behind a hill and slowly move up until it says hull down, there is no magaical way to get hull down, I'd say good judgement is the best. I'd have to say every vehicle gets some sort of benefit from hull down position. I've never had a scout car or halftrack in a hull down position might be for only armored vehicles.
  2. I know you will have elite russian infantry in 1941if you setup a battle as a QB, You could have elite infantry in every single battle you play. I don't care about modern day AT weapons and air support because they won''t be in CM2.
  3. I'm not talking about 88mm AT guns or if there is going to be elite russian infantry units in 1941. I was wondering if FJ infantry units are going to have magnetic AT charges to use against russian armor.
  4. I was reading in a book i own and it has a photograph of a Fallschirmjager unit with a Haft-Holladung magnetic antitank charge 3 Kg (6.6lb) able to penetrate 140mm (5.5in) of armour. I don't see any reason why not to add this to CM2 since engineering units have satchel charges. I got this information from Hilter's Sky Warriors by Christopher Ailsby. Thanks
  5. hello Just checking to see how many posts i've made on this forum. Thanks
  6. Hey Gunner, How large of a battle are you playing over TCP/IP?? that can effect download time and what connection to do have to the internet? I play TCP/IP games with a 56K modem and my oppenent has a cable modem so CM always picks the person with the highest connection speed to host so I don't have any problems and I've played a couple 1000 point battles and didn't have any problems.. ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." 7. False alarm just a corrupt file... ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." General Dwight D. Eisenhower
  8. Ok i've placed a new data folder in the Combat Mission Folder and then ran the PBEM game to see if i can place ambush markers and I'm still getting the brown square showing up and NOT the ambush marker so i'm thinking its either a corrupted file or its a bug no one found yet..
  9. I started a PBEM game today and went to set some ambush markers and they the marker doesn't show up its just a brown square where the ambush marker should be and when i go to exite i get a type 2 error and CM crahes.... any ideas??? I already reinstalled 1.12 and tossed the preferences... BTS??? help!!! ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." General Dwight D. 10. They would only be invisible to you not to the person playing against you in a PBEM, Hotseat, or TCP/IP game. ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." General Dwight D. Eisenhower
  11. I've looked in a few books about the H-39 HotchKiss and I'd say that the color scheme you have painted on it are historical with that time period. I doubt the Germans would apply a tricolor camouflage on a second-line internal security light tank. ]http://www.wargamer.com/cm/images/capturedh-39.jpg' alt='capturedh-39.jpg'> ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." 12. Nice color scheme on the H-39, where can I downloaded it?? Great work Pritzl ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." General Dwight D. Eisenhower
  13. P.S. A vehicle can only transport (tow) other units with the same or lower transport class. That is straight out of the Combat Mission manual, page 28 Hope this helps ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." General Dwight D. Eisenhower
  14. A 3 inch mortar team is to large to embark on a Cromwell tank. The transport class of the Cromwell tank is 2 while the 3 inch mortar team has a transport class of 4 so anything with a transport class of 4 or higher would be able to embark your mortar team, like a halftrack or truck.
  15. Everyone looking for the 1.1B24 public beta, well here its is enjoy. ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." General Dwight D. Eisenhower
  16. If you've been reading this forum for few months, you should know BTS works some strange hours and they release updates/patches at weird hours and i don't consider monday over till midnight. I always check for updates before i go to bed and when i wake up for work tomorrow morning.
  17. TCP/IP beta patch still on the way or going to wait now for the final version? Punt
  18. Thanks Madmatt, At least i know i won't be playing CM over TCP/IP until sometime in December or maybe next year. I"ll enjoy my turkey and stuffing better if i know that the patch won't be out before Thanksgiving and that way i won't be thinking i should be at home downloading it. ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." 19. How many people are making MODS on the Macintosh? I have the system to make MODS just don't have the software or know how. I know some people have created MODS on the Macintosh like Pritzl and his Allied Winter Vehicle Pack at CM HQ. I did download that MOD but thats the only one i have. ------------------ " When you succeed, give all the credit to others; when you fail, take all the blame." General Dwight D. Eisenhower
