infantry versus light armor
Kanonier Reichmann replied to Skolman's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I think if the halftrack was buttoned then the squad wont fire unless they have some means to destroy it such as grenade bundles, panzerfausts etc. Regards Jim R. -
The RealColor MOD is fantastic!!!
Kanonier Reichmann replied to Schoerner's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
It changes everything. Regards Jim R. -
Not if we've now got warning that he's coming. Just remember, you'll no doubt fit in very well here since I'm sure alot of our American friends perceive the general population as being so far left of centre that your Communist country indoctrination should stand you in good stead. As they say in the classics "Welcome to the Land Downunder. Where women glow and men chunder" (or is it "thunder"?... something like that anyway). Regards Jim R.

Russian AA guns... my dilemma
Kanonier Reichmann replied to Kirill S.'s topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Can anyone tell me what the German word for gullible is? Alternatively, the German word for humourless? Regards Jim R. -
Noooooooo! I want the command at the beginning of every game to allow one to rush their crews towards their tanks Le Mans style then hit the command to "start your engines". This sounds like incredible fun and on top of that, if some don't start then have the additional command to crank start the engine. I couldn't think of anything more exciting! Regards Jim R.

Hmmmm, makes you wonder why BFC deemed it appropriate to include pretty much useless radio cars yet didn't include Komsomolets(sp?) tractors to allow the Russians to actually transport their 76mm & 85mm AA guns. Regards Jim R.

7 MORE MAINSCREENS (pics and DL)
Kanonier Reichmann replied to jmbunnelle's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Quick question. Can someone provide a link to the first thread? I did a search under the authors name but came up blank. I'd love to see what other splash screens are on offer. Regards Jim R. -
How to tow Russian 76 or 85mm AA gun ?
Kanonier Reichmann replied to Monty's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Ummmm. Obvious question I guess. So how the hell did they get to where they're positioned in the first place? Regards Jim R. -

Well done Chris a.k.a. Piatpunk. I didn't realise you were still interested in the Combat Mission genre but had devoted yourself to Airborne Assault instead. Thanks for helping out Gunslinger whom I'm a big fan of due to the wonderful job he did with the original Combat Mission game via his initial ground breaking mods. He set the standard for other full game mod artists to follow IMHO. Regards Jim R. -
Tiger(Pz)(VIE) heavy tank or not?
Kanonier Reichmann replied to ched's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I would also assume the killing shot was on the Tiger's side or rear which is also relatively vulnerable when compared with its frontal aspect. It is not the all killing behemoth that legend has us believe, especially when caught out up close. Regards Jim R. -
The most beautiful tank IMO is...
Kanonier Reichmann replied to Schoerner's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Regarding the Bob Semple...imagine BFC trying to model the angle of penetration from an incoming round as it hits those corrugations. Mind you, seeing as it looks like it's simply corrugated iron why bother. Just about any round will penetrate it. As for the best looking tank. Call me parochial but I'll nominate one out of left field- the Sentinal. An Australian designed WWII tank that could actually mount 2 25 pounder guns in its turret in one of its later incarnations. Unfortunately the marque never saw any action as it seemed we were able to source American manufactured Shermans alot easier than building our own (despite over 100 Sentinels being built). Regards Jim R. -
Shouldn't that be spice? Or am I getting confused with something else? Regards Jim R.
