  1. LoL! Just wait until Kettler gets settled in. We'll be on part 12 by the time he finishes. He is Mr. Update without a doubt.
  2. Funny you should ask, as I was just about to post regarding this very subject. Scott just sent me an e-mail outlining what he's been doing behind the scenes with the ROW website, and from what I've read it will look very nice. Can't reveal right now what it will all include, so you'll have to stay tuned (shameless hint to bookmark site). One thing it will include will be AARs, and that brings me to the reason for my post... ****ATTENTION ROW I & II PLAYERS******* If you had submitted an AAR that featured screenshots, and would like to include that AAR in our website, then please e-mail me as soon as possible. Please also include which scenario it was for. Thanks
  3. Rune, I'll be there, and will bring my computer for you to play on
  4. You've got nothing to lose by joining up as a replacement. Just send Treeburst155 an e-mail with the title 'ROW III replacement'.
  5. Download it into the pbem folder of CMBB. Then start the game, choose join multiplayer, find file and open.
  6. Both the flags and exited units are calculated, but I wouldn't think of it as balanced. In fact, in Fear in the Fog it favors exiting units over flag control by a big margin. The way exit scenarios work is for every unit that is eligible to exit, but doesn't, a certain number of points is awarded to the opponent. Those points equal the purchase price of that unit. Therefore, you can control all the flags but still lose the game, because the price for the non-exited units outweigh whatever points you get from the flag.
  7. Joe, I suggest you post in the opponent's finder forum, as this might get pushed off page one before anyone responds. You can also try the CMHQ chat.
  8. Great to see things running so smoothly, and amazed on how quickly some games are progressing. Glad you all are enjoying yourselves. BTW, (picks up baseball bat) you guys do remember to write an AARs for each of these scenarios.....right?
  9. Your one stop shopping spree for scenarios begins the moment you click on my sig.
  10. New Zealand is really nothing more than a huge sound stage for the next Speilberg flick.
  11. The next ROW tourney is tenatively scheduled for late spring / summer. Treeburst will announce when it is time to sign up, and usually an e-mail to him is all thats needed. The ROW vets have first dibs at a slot, but with 72 players per tourney there should be plenty of room for new players. I suggest you sign up as a replacement player. You've got nothing to lose, and would be eligible to play in the overflow tourney (if Treeburst decides to have one).
  12. Sorry, no AARs at Boots and Tracks (yet), but I'm gathering a nice sample from both ROW I & II. Give me a few and I'll send them out. Anyone else want these let me know. Address is in my profile.
  13. And to make things even more confusing... You park in the driveway and drive on the parkway
  14. Gents, I just e-mailed the 5th scenario to Treeburst, so you guys are set. Good Luck to all. If I can ask two things: 1) Please do your best to not divulge FOW sensitive info at any time. The old vets like Holien and John Kettler know what I'm talking about, but the new guys might not. Please keep it underwraps until everyone finishes the scenario. At some point in the future I will start a ROW III thread in the scenario forum. There you can freely discuss the scenario, provide feedback (see below) and generally sound off. Until then, enjoy the fog 2) Please set aside some time to write up an AAR for each of the scenarios. I cannot stress enough how important this is. Not only do you gain bonus points from them, but even more importantly it provides the designers with much needed, and appreciated, feedback. In addition, it might just make it unto our website. Thanks, and enjoy the tourney.
  15. 'Our backs to the Volga' by CapitalistdogwhonolongerlivesinChina. Part of the Stalingrad Pack. Without doubt one of the best urban battles I've ever played. Do not waste it on the AI. Get yourself a good pbem opponent and enjoy it.
  16. What! No mention of the testers?!? it is posts like yours that really destroy my motivation to test scenarios in the future. i now have little incentive to test more Between this and the Bush economic package, it is just not worth it. Screw 'em
  17. Nor the scenario designers Which btw, this one has 2 that need to be tested. Anyone interested? My e-mail is in my profile.
  18. No need, as I was monitoring this thread and caught TexasToast's suggestion. I have just gotten the go ahead from Scott, so expect at least 1 scenario heading your way within a couple of hours. I have 2 more ready to go. Let me know if you would want these as well.
  19. Did you play against the AI? If so, it shouldn't come as a surprise if you won 100-0. As good as it is, it's no match for a decent human player. Yes, the scenario is a tough one for the Russians, but not impossible.
