Phil, Have you ever installed Critical Update Q328310 from the Windows Update page? This will screw up CM's (along with a couple of other games) ability to minimize/restore. If you have, it can be removed using the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Regarding the slowness...is it frame rate you're referring to? Fraps ( Found here ) is a useful tool that will let you see what your fps are. If you are using Toshiba driver ver 27.27, and after installing the 30.82's it still shows that you are using the 27's then the install has failed. This always happened on my Dell, which is why I unzip and use the manual Have Disk method. This may be contributing to the slowdown you are experiencing, as there might be a conflict from parts of different driver versions trying to be used. Did you notice the slowness from the time you installed CM? Or did it happen when you were trying the different drivers? There is a driver cleaner available for XP now. I suggest, considering you are running Toshiba drivers on a Dell notebook that the problem is Not with CM, but with your computer/driver setup. Does CM work with the Dell 28.35 drivers for the 4Go in the 8200? Note that these are the only drivers currently supported by Dell (and I suppose Dell is following in Hitler's and Stalin's idealistic footsteps also). Hmmm, I don't recall ever seeing 27.27 or anything strange in playing with drivers before...are you sure all older drivers and registry entries were removed before installation? Also, with the Dells (not sure about Toshiba) the nvidia installer won't work. I have always unzipped the drivers to a temp directory and used the "Have Disk" method to install them, and my GF4 Go MX440 always showed up in the list. Also, the Nvidia drivers are unified now, so there is no "correct" way to use them, and should work on any nvidia card. I always have to modify them a bit for use with 1400x1050 resolution, but other than that they have always installed and worked fine in both a 4Go and a 2Go. Phil, What do you mean by "don't work" exactly. I've been running them for quite some time now with no problems at all in a Dell i8000 and a GF4Go. Do you have any more detail you can supply? We should be able to get them working in any case. Harv

I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say "there's not even a "delay" attached to it". Does this mean if you give it another move order no delay shows up? Or is the move line and end point still show but the unit hasn't moved yet? A unit that is pinned, shaken etc will often not move until right away, so if the move line is still there hit Alt+G to turn on labels to easily see a unit's status. If the move line is gone, I would think that you have used Move To Contact and either an enemy was spotted or some nearby fire caused it to stop. Harv

Heh, I was just looking at some of my old CMBO Scenario Database versions, and at one point there were 27(!) websites that had scenarios on them. This is one of the reasons I gave up on it, as it took waaay too much time to check for new scenarios on all of them on a regular basis. Long live the Scenario Depot! Lookit redwolf, it is becoming patently obvious that you only read what you want to read, so I'm probably wasting my time here...I didn't run 50 tests in 21 minutes. I see why you might think that, but like I said...you and your all knowing stopwatch don't know how much time I've pissed away on this non-issue. I started running tests and observations on All of those savegames on Saturday and probably spent 10 hours wasting my time on this crap and had pretty much finished up when I posted. You know, with you attitude anymore (and your new buddy Licensed...where did he come from anyways?) even if I found something that screamed BUG right through my speakers and crawled out of my keyboard I'd seriously consider sweeping it under the carpet. OK, I just ran your savegame 50 times and I didn't see the ISU retreat a single time unless it was gun damaged or reloading. I didn't do anything except hit the Go button twice and watch the movie. The ISU also was killed 6 times, was gun damaged 4 times and was penetrated 5 times killing a crew member so I'm not sure about your statement that the Pz IV is a clearly weaker medium tank. I'll run it another 50 times just because it's better than watching hockey, but what I'm finding so far is that there isn't a problem. Harv

Oh, I read "some AFVs" as meaning certain types when I first read it. But it could also mean all AFVs will do it sometimes in certain circumstances I suppose. Either way, it's a pretty sweeping statement, and I was hoping to get some more detail from him before I continued with this. Harv
