  1. Hi Modders: are CMBB MODS available already? and is there an utility to deal with MODS as we had for CMBO? (Not CMMOS: I run on a Mac G4) Not afraid of changing files by hand, just time consuming and - prolly - error prone. Cheers
  2. Saw the same with infantry. They moved regularly - after the deay - only after I replotted the orders.
  3. I agree. I enjoyed it. This time I am playing scenario after scenario. Am now at A warm place to sleep where I go a Total Victory with Germans and Minor with Russians. CMB is more realistic. The AI is truly better. Did not found anything yet that seen from all perspective looks less than *true*. Also graphic wise I enjoy it: especially seeing the bullets burst off ground and wall and the armors. I can truly see if I am area firing from the bullets torturing the ground!!
  4. Have exactly the same problem. Don;t know which is the cause. More frequent with CMBB than CMBO though. Mac B&W G3 350MHz 196MB
  5. Hi, my drivers say 1.1.3 (not 1.1.3b) Anyway, rebooting the problem disappears ... till the next occurrence. Yep, I may play with one/two chips. Will see if it makes a difference. Thanks On an aside notice: the manual I received lacks appendices B-D. Any way to get them?
  6. When trying to watch the Map after a battle has ended. Mach B&W G3, 350 MHz, Voodoo 5500, 256 MB RAM.
  7. Does the Mod manager work for MODs in CMBB. I do not want to try it on and having to reinstall.
  8. BUMP Can we get the Appendices B-D on pdf please? BTS?
  9. Extreme. What else? I have always thought Full Fog in CMBO was too much revealing.
  10. YOU ARE RIGHT: did not notice. Same manual. I also ordered Mac version from BTS directly.
  11. Indeed: in the manual I received (from IRELAND) last page is 224. All appendices A-D are missing. BTS???
  12. Manual is 224 pages. Is it any different in the US? Looks like some 50 pgs are missing?
  13. Spending a couple of years in France due to work I was worried I would face some delay. HELL NO: the postman delivered TODAY!!!!! I am thrilled. Please, I'd like to add my email address to mailing lists or to web sites for Barbarossa: any suggestions?
  14. May your friend rest in peace. You gave him a special value in life: true friendship. He left you with memories to cherish. Amazing how the Lord is able to find the tiniest insignificant facts of life to allow us to express our love to our dear ones. God bless PS The next time you'll find yourself playing I am sure your friend will be there smiling at you. Who knows, maybe some untold special tactic you never tried suddenly becomes clear in your mind.
  15. Heya oldtimers. After long inactivity I found the demo, played Citadel and pre-ordered. Can't explain what exactly gave me the impression but the game is superior to CMBO. I felt it as a more realistic AI was in place. I had all objectives under control at turn 31, the new commands for tanks are impressive. I did not spot any weird behavior and tanks felt like there was someone truly knowing what he was doing at the helm. So far so good!!!!! Anyway, of course BTS: FIX IT or DO SUMFINK
  16. Indeed it is an interesting concept and it could be handled in a similar way to FOW. No fog: terrain features show up as it is now. This might be default. Terrain fog levels then might be affetcted additionally by map details quality. In principle unseen terrain could look as a flat 2D map. The map quality would then modify the way the *real* terrain shows up when units discover it (ie have LOS). With bad map quality terrain surprises might arrive: say you are heading straight toward a pass (on the map) only to discover - once your units have direct LOS to the area - that the pass is some hundreds meters elsewhere. Same for road intersections: might arrive quicker or farther in front with respect to the map. Hi-quality map would limit surprises to a minimum. Losing a LOS to terrain features *might* turn the area into a high quality map simulating the fact that you have adjourned your map once you have seen the area: the map would then faithfully represent the terrain in a 2D fashion. OR, once terrain is discovered it could remain *visible*. I haven't decided what would be better. One thing terrain FOG would immediately give you is the available LOS from all your units combined: you would have an additional intel tool to establish what is visible instead of going through each units and check the various LOSs. I would welcome such an add-on.
  17. Very nice indeed: looks like Tom's BoB is going to have a great add-on. MODders of the World: United!
  18. Use a Mac. Who cares about M$ if only reason is to run CM?
  19. That flas trailer is ABSOLUTE drool!! Can't wait to install the baby
  20. Impressive. Verynice Kwazy. Will this be the procedure for all vehicles in CMBB? Then we are in a for a REEEAAAALLL treat. Thanks for bumping it: I missed the first venue
  21. HOLLY MOLLY I need this MOD!! Tom, this is just cruel: my keyboard is all slippery with drool now And I'll sure keep my CMBO happily running side by side with CMBB. MHO, One does not exclude the other
  22. Great trees Tom. Looks very 'natural' and similar to what I do see out of my window.
  23. Tom, went up skiing this weekend (Alps, Switzerland/France border). The low medium hills look very close to your MOD but I noticed one thing: water. Pond, small lakes and rivers (small medium). For most the static water was indeed frozen, thoroughly but the small river all had only patches of ice and frozen formations plus snow here and there but in the middle or in patches water was still flowing freely. Now, all winter MODs invariably feature all frozen water surfaces, rivers included. I guess this would be most true on scandinavian peninsula but in middle europe I have my doubts. Would including half way frozen river tiles add to much to your work load? Too bad I did not hav a camera. Eagerly waiting for your MOD.
  24. looks very nice (the green winter I like it most) I am spending two years for work in France/Swiss broder near Geneva. These days it has snowed wuit some, then it has rained. Well, it looks exactly like 'green winter" MOD. I support a previous comment on having the impression of straight lines here and there. Make them disappear and post this MOD: it loos like I'll always will use it. Thanks and great looking job
  25. Jarmo, definitely someone or something is trying to get in touch with you. From now on, when you play CM, watch over your shoulders from time to time
