  1. Isnt there any in-game way of adjusting the gamma correction or something for CMBO? It looks a bit too dark for my taste!
  2. Dowarisch: Where? On my CD there is just 6 objects, and those are all installers. No pdf files are present on the CD. Perhaps U have the pc version? I have the mac version.
  3. Seahawk-vfa201: In my manual the last page is 232 then it begins from p. 193 again. I ordered my game directly from Battlefront, macversion. We both miss the appendices in question though.
  4. Are we to be compensated for the missing appendixes in the CMBB manual? Cant the guys att Battlefront make them downloadable here or something? It i after all pretty important/useful stuff (Orders, Troubleshooting and Index).

  6. Cmon guys - this is not the place for puns - at least not if they are as bad as the these ones.
  7. When playing "Operation Goodwood" as Brit U have a lot of Fireflies. Fortunatley they come loaded with HE shells and not only AP since the germans mostly have guns and inf and only a few tanks. Well at the start of battle three I noticed that all my Fireflies had just AP and T ammo - not a single HE shell! And that even though most of them had 20+ HE shells at the end of battle 2. Where the hell did my HE shells go???
  8. Looks like I picked the wrong side if I was in it just for easy wins. Fortunately I like challenges and I play for fun not for wins. If I am going to lose I am sure going to have fun in the process - and take as many of his boys as I can with me to the other side. It is a hell of a lot more satisfying winning depite being the underdog. And if I lose I have the perfect excuse; "well the op actually favors the allied player". [ 05-08-2001: Message edited by: Van_Gogh ] [ 05-08-2001: Message edited by: Van_Gogh ]
  9. Great Work. I keep seeing scores of fictional scenarios popping up all over the place but seldom any (good) historical ones. U should really have credit for taking the time involved in designing historical scenarios. Loved your massive "Counerattack at Carentan" btw. Keep up the good work
  10. Well who is better to give advice than the designer himself. May I ask U Franko if U agree with Napoleons statement that your op favors the allied player? Guess U do not. Did the playtesting confirm anything about one side or another having the upper hand?
  11. OK. Thought so. But one thing that I have noted is that the Stug IVs are very nimble. Their low GP seem to allow them to move off road in mud conditions without bogging. It is just the first battle yet though. Guess the bad weather will make the ground change from Mud to Deep Mud. Perhaps even the Stug IVs will bog given Deep Mud GC?
  12. I am currently playing the massive "We Fight and Die Here" op PBEM as German player. I have never played it before. My opponent has. Is it balanced? Any tips on German strategy would be welcome. Should U just run like hell in the advance direction or do the op require a more subtle approach? [ 04-29-2001: Message edited by: Van_Gogh ]
  13. No it is cool. Trashing the preferences will not erase your saved games.
  14. The Stug III is a pretty common axis afv, and a nice one as well. In a recent scenario I got to command some Stug IVs. Nice I thought, the Stug IV got a remote flexible MG which means U can fire it in any direction even if U are buttoned. Well, what good is that damn remote flexible MG when it in fact NEVER fires!? My Stug IVs started with the usual 24 MG ammo and in spite of plenty of oppurtunities never fired their MGs. I should add that many times enemy infantry was very close and the Stugs unbuttoned but no, not a single burst fired despite the desperate need and full ammo supply. This kind of makes the Stug IV less attractive than it should be. Is there anyone else out there who have experienced similar problems with their Stug IVs and/or non firing remote flexible MGs in general?
