Chance Encounter and VoT are not exactly even (I've played each dozen of times), but I do agree that the scenarios in this demo are not really suited for PBEM. Yenia Stare is not very imaginative. Citadel is unbalanced if you are free to set up the russians, and then, it doesnt see much action until the 20th turn. The biggest letdown was that I have not seen any ninjas yet in the CMBB demo, nor has it been confirmed that they are in the final game. I am pretty damn sure ninjas werent limited exclusively to the Pacific Front. And as has been suggested before, russian super snipers were actually ninjas, which accounts for their impressive kill ratios and the heads exploding from their victims. I know ninjas, like naval guns,can be totally mean/sweet and unbalance games, but the option should be there. Just make them very expensive, to account for their awesome kickass power. And there is a downside to them, if they run out of enemies in the immediate vicinity, they will commit sepuku and your 1500pt investment is no more. You just have to learn to live with it. They did really choose Moussorgsky's 'Night at the Bald Mountain' in the end. It does sound pretty cool. I think the addition of russian symphonic music is a nice touch, and it was something suggested by forum members way back. I am curious if the discussions made Madmatt (?) pick this intro music.

MINOR SPOILERS Yelnia Stare - tactical victory as the germans. HMGs rock! I averaged more than 20 casualties with each one of them. One of my german squads amassed 45 casualties!! Are those green/conscript russians pathetic or what? I think I pinned or made every single of their squads panick by the end of the game. What really hurt me were the T-34s. I knocked out 2, and damaged the gun on the other. One of the remaining ones killed 20+ of my germans...

We all know that the better sharpshooter were snipers, and the übersnipers were ninjas. They totally flip out and explode peoples heads with one shot. Very common in Stalingrad. I hope this is modelled correctly in CMBB.
