  1. That's all correct. (Gruppenschnellfeuerwaffe as schwul and gay) [LOL. But now, if i think about it, - GSW don't sounds gay in German. But if you literally re-translate Gruppenschnellfeuerwaffe back to english it would be 'groups fast fire weapon'] end point: MG4 is just right.
  2. That's just silly. Because in German you don't pronounce 'G' this way. -> 'Gay-Ess-Gay 9' ? (BS!) (but it's sounds like some schwul anglo-saxons-ami tries to sound german.)
  3. 'Ge-wehr' is an old word. 'Wehr' can mean 'defense', 'fortification', 'retaining dam'. 'Wehr-macht' means 'defense power' (in german the word for 'power' comes from the word for 'doing something (for real)' (= 'machen'). 'Bundes-wehr' = 'federal defense' (forces) 'Feuer-wehr' = 'fire brigade/department' 'Gewehr' was used in military context before the invention of firearms. Originally it designates every weapon, which can be carried and used by one man. 'Er steht in vollem Gewehr.' = He is fully readily armed. 19. cent. prussian cavalry order "Gewehr auf" means you have to draw your sabre (saber). The modern meaning of 'Gewehr' designates every weapon who has developed from the 'Handrohr'. That was the first firearm which could be carried and used by one man alone: 'Maschinen-' in this context designates the full-automatic reload capability. (means: you just have to pull the trigger till the magazine/belt is empty) < 5,56mm = Maschinen-Pistole 5,56mm - ca. 15mm = Maschinen-Gewehr > ca. 15mmm = Maschinen-Kanone

  5. They are good, but not perfect. The first should have more zoom, to put the soldier group in background more in 'focus' and remove the unnecessary 'empty' space on the sides. The second picture has the tank and the house too 'frontal' as a flat side. You should have taken the shoot from some angle to give it more optical dynamic and depth. But they are good, because all in all they have a 'story' to tell, that's what makes them interesting to look at.
  6. It's just some Greek ground texture of the soon coming, but still unannounced CMx2:Cyprus.
  7. consequent CMSF-modding (virtual figurine/diorama painting): 1. Get z-Bee's mod manager 2. Make a folder called 'Basis Essentials' (or how you want to call it) -> all good general stuff goes in here (the one you want to see always, regardless of setting -> Smoke, Explosions, general weapon/vehicle sounds, general UI-mods, tracers, tactical icons etc. -> make shure this folder is be loaded as standard every time you lunch the game. 3. Make additional folders for different 'general settings': -> I have: 'African Theaters', 'Desert Setting', 'Woodland Setting' 4. Make additional folder for scenario specific settings, which will loaded in case above (after) the general settings: I have: 'Wassersumpf ('water-swamp'), UNO setting. 5. Load as needed 6. Make it a habit to download all new mods, check it out, keep the good, primp the bad, improve the usefull. Welcome to the club.
  8. "poor" ? Please elaborate on this. Or did you just mean "old"?
  9. You should upload it to some free image hoster. There you get a link. Copy&paste this link in your reply: -> . Best format is 800x600 for message boards.
  10. The mods are all taken from CM Database/Repository/Warehouse and reworked with Adobe ImageReady (mostly Dirt/Blood Effects). I have made a lot of variations to improve diversity (I have created some 70-80 uncon skins alone). Loading time at start up of scenario gets much longer of course. To make a screenshot, I pause a WEGO movie and bring the camera view in optimal position. The I press 'Druck' (Print-Key) and alt-Tab to desktop. I start IrfanView and press ctrl+v (paste). Now I have my picture. Next I mark the part I want to have (the center of screen without UI elements) and copy it. I start a new picture and paste the marked area in. Next I use shift+u (auto correction). Then I resize on 800x600, sharpen the picture and save it. That's all.
  11. Yes of course, but it's always the same and it has so little volume. It's just a idea and I wan't to know if it's possible. If yes, I want it instantly, but I know I have to wait of course...
  12. Could the engine handle to create a random heap of rubble from the terrain beneath it, if a building is leveled ? Kind of 'negative' crater. High should depend on building size.
  13. False-flag op of some unspecified middle-eastern agency against unlisted troops of Syrian Ministry of the Interior. (BND intel, unconfirmed)
  14. بسيج combat group -formed from Iranian volunteer students- rush to help repulsing the Zionist aggression.
  15. IBCT soldiers on recon far out in the eastern desert.
  16. That kind of stuff should get important in WW2 Hürtgen Forest / Bulge stand-alone after Normandy + modules. Maybe we have to wait till then...
