Dont forget RAM. You may already have enough but I upgraded from 64meg to 128meg and it made a huge difference on my machine. I've seen some other folks with this same problem. When using the installer I get an error message that the bmp file doesn't match the cab file. I installed manually and the game works with no problem. I take it this is not a bad cd just a glitch with some computer setups? Have you checked with the company that makes your motherboard? Are you sure you set all jumpers on your MB to support that chip? I'm running a amd K6-2 450 on win98SE with no problems. ------------------ "It's a hardball world son. We've got to keep our heads until this peace craze blows over."

Wayne, It works great as far as I'm concerned. I upgraded from a 16meg banshee that didn't show any of the high quality smoke and translucent buildings. Now I get everything(on the demo, i don't have CM yet I downloaded the nVIDIA detonator drivers and they installed easily and work great. Just make sure you follow the directions. I've noticed a big improvement with the Cougar so I would recommend it, especially for the nice price ------------------ "It's a hardball world son. Wayne, I'm running an AMD K6-2 450 W/128 megs of RAM, TNT-2 32meg (AGP) video card and win98. I upgraded from a 16meg banshee w/64meg of RAM and CM runs very very smooth now and the graphics blow away the older card. If you want a good and fairly cheap system this is what I would suggest with your cpu if you have that available AGP slot. If not then find a motherboard that has agp, super socket 7 boards are very affordable, I've used DFI and FIC, I like DFI better so far. ------------------ "It's a hardball world son. Maybe I just haven't played the gold demo enough or something but I had a tree growing in the middle of the dirt road on the Allied left flank. Has this been seen before? has this minor glitch been fixed? I also noticed in that same scenario that the anti-tank pillbox was placed on the very pointy tip of a small hill in front of the small lake in VoT. I think it's all in how you use the tiger. Set up ambushes, hull down, defensive posistions. It's so slow that the less you have to move it or it's turret the better. Also remember to use your support tanks if they are available to protect the tiger. On the offense the tiger is hard to use and again I'd want to have plenty of support before I moved it out into the open. Didn't Whittman(sp?) use Assault gun tactics? ie, turning the entire vehicle instead of the slow turret? You have to make use of that thick frontal armor against lower power guns and sometimes you are just out classed by speed. ------------------ "It's a hardball world son.
