  1. CP, Supply can be drawn from an HQ or a friendly city. [ April 25, 2002, 05:04 PM: Message edited by: SuperTed ]
  2. I believe a generous soul has begun the process. Stay tuned...
  3. Straha, I believe both answers are "no." Sorry.
  4. More results from the Newbie Rejects: Silvio Manuel (British) defeated F1shlips (German) by a score of 52-41 in Crash Landing. So, Silvio Manuel wins Round 3 with an overall score of 102-66 and advances to the Newbie Rejects Final! Congratulations to Silvio Manuel!
  5. TB155, Actually, it will be no problem getting them all done. Also, removing the names will be easy too.
  6. Lee, I suspect you need to refresh. The AT gun is at the top of the list.
  7. The latest toy for the Imperial Japanese Army is now on display. Swing on by and see what the boys at Combat Mission World have made this time.
  8. AD, Hey, multiple-personality disorder is no laughing matter!
  9. Immer, Units cannot be split. This applies to creating two smaller units or using a unit for multiple missions in a turn. No, you cannot buy understrength units. The only way to get the Bordeaux fleet you want is to assign a damaged unit to the job.
  10. Charl, Since we are so good at getting scenarios balanced, it wil be more work to have to make one that is not. But seriously, I can't imagine why adding one (or more) of these abominations would be a bad thing. Of course, it could always be released as a single-player scenario later and the issue of balance would be irrelevant.
  11. My sources tell me there's something big brewing at Boots & Tracks. Get the latest details.
  12. To help with your last-minute shopping, we have another screen shot that features Japanese weaponry. Swing over and take a peek.
  13. Bart, When I did the board wargame thing 100 years ago, my two favorites were Squad Leader and Third Reich. Since Combat Mission has taken the place of SL, it seems only natural that something should take the place of TR. Strategic Command should do just that. The man who runs the beta show is Madmatt. Send him an email (matt@battlefront.com) if you would like to join the show.
  14. Bart, Thanks for the offer, but I have somebody in mind already. I think he'll do it, but he'll probably want some sort of compensation. I suspect $50K will do nicely. Once Hubert and Matt approve it, we should be ready to go.
  15. Hmmm, I'd have to agree. Maybe I could use my powers of persuasion to get somebody to do it.
  16. Should we expect to see some sort of AAR from one of the beta testers?
  17. Guys, Regarding the discussion of labels, have any of you read the names of the sections in the Newbie Tournament? There are SuperNewbies, Garden Variety Newbies, and Newbie Rejects. When a Newbie is elimnated, he joins the ever-expanding Loser Pile.
  18. TB, These scenarios will be treated no differently than if they were going directly to the public. In other words, they will be subjected to the same scrutiny as any other scenarios we design. So, they will be as balanced as we can make them. We only apply one set of standards when we design scenarios. We want players to expect ALL B&T scenarios to meet those standards, whether they are playing in a tournament or against a friend.
  19. Redwolf, The scenarios will be done by the Boots & Tracks team. We have very high standards and will make every effort to create scenarios that are as balanced as they can be.
  20. Charl, You are very welcome, sir. We're happy to be part of the fun.
  21. Thanks for the warm fuzzies, TB. Yes, you folks heard right. B&T will be making the scenarios for what may well be the first CMBB tournament. We are proud to be a part of another fine TB and Winecape tournament.
  22. Bring some boxes to CM : Mod Depot and give WvG a hand with the move.
