  1. and could MrSpkr be the next Erin Brockovich? Toxic Torts!?! I'm telling you you can't make this stuff up!! And how many lawyers do you have in that mega firm? And how many offices? BTW When was the last time you were let out of the library to shower? [ May 22, 2003, 03:04 PM: Message edited by: jdmorse ]
  2. Mr. Dear Boggs Thank you for your kind response. unfortunately the press of time and other considerations prevent us from giving your correspondence the attention it so richly deserves. Suffice it to say that I recognize that typing is not my forte so thus I employ minions, perhaps such as yourself to take care of the messy details. Unfortunately, that position is filled. That plus your rather unseemly participation or is wallowing better, in the MasterGoodale abomination thread unfortunately disqualifies any consideration. We appreciate your interest, but I am afraid that chasing ambulances and hanging out in hospital admitting corridors for MrSpkr is about as high as you can aspire. Have a nicer day
  3. Nice mythology MrBoggs but unfortunetly it has all the veracity of the National Enquirer. The MBT emerged like Zeus from the Titans forehead, aka Seanachi's during a drunken orgiastic excess from which he has never awoke. I am afraid all of this is the butterfly's dreams. Should the Gnome sober up we dear heart shall prove to be ephemeral and oh so very transient. Have a nice day.
  4. Boo you ignorant slut......... It's called the inbox. that's where you find new mail with turns attached. Like #21 sent to you on Monday the 19th. Sheesh. Just re-sent it. Not that you'll find it. Probably your finger up your nose is blocking your view of the keyboard. Obvious that the lineage has de-voled with this proto-knucledragging provisonal member and aspirant trogolyte. Even the chimpanzees won't have you. 5. (sigh) Not that this will do any good since he is probably knee deep in nookie......... Yes Hiram, it's called PBEM. I send you a file, then you send me the file, at least before my memory fades to black............. Oh and you too Boobs, but for you I am sure it ain't nookie your knee deep in......
  6. Not one, not two. Only Peng The dharma of thusness is such Peng Exists The cause of Peng Is Seanachai There exists a path to eliminate Peng That path is that of self loathing ~after all it is you by your presence that you seek to unite with the Cosmic Peng [ May 19, 2003, 02:08 PM: Message edited by: jdmorse ]
  7. No need. The smoke from your burning vehicles showed your path quite well. It was CMBO and we are on to other things. Hope you are well, in a 'pooler sort of way drop a line some time. I think we stopped because you were moving. By your info you headed south I see. No loss there
  8. chrisl isn't your turn overdue? Like 1 and a half years? Seems like you gave up on the XXX Corps iirc, but then again who cares. All turns out, if you haven't got it it's because I am ignoring you, otherwise hop to it, except for Hiram since it seems to take him as long as kotis of kalpas to return a turn. 9. AEB, count yourself lucky he killed himself. In a current game, in fact played today, I got stuck with a green 105 FO assigned to a brave band of defenders of a church out in the boonies. I had constructed a nice little defense, about a reinforced platoon, a Stug on one flank a 75mm ATG on the other, tress in fornt of us and some 251's and a 251/10 rounding things out. The idea was to drop the arty on the russians before the anticipated SMG's opened up. imagine my surprise when the barrage fell about a half klick away. Okay time to retarget, 2 mins, but cas start mounting. ATG ko's several tanks trying to sneak around. Still have russkies in the woods, okay, here comes the re-targeted strike, swoosh Boom, right on my position, behind FO. Lost ATG, several 251's, broke HMG, and nary a splinter under a fingernail on the russians as the untouched SMG's chopped up men. Better he had died with the first strike. I am still hating him with a passion. You got off lucky imho
  10. For me one of the true differences is the Machine Guns.....they can RUN he he. I assume you saw some of the fun on that one. Seriously, the HMG's esp really come into their own. Those open spaces are not very hospitable with a couple of MG42's and interlocking fire. CMBB plays slower than CMBB but imho is more realistic, a better simulation and a hell of alot more units and 'splody things
  11. Sorry Boo I think Emma is planning on a picnic and hopes the extended family can show. maybe next time...and send the turn ya genetic misfitted collection of singularly unimportant protoplasm
  12. Well since I seem to have fallen in for a family reunion of sorts I'll say...It's good to see you again Emma. What times those were eh? A toast to our fallen comrades then. May their black and noxious souls burn in the firey depths of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. There, they'd like that. Salute
  13. ...wow like deja view ,man, of course in my frame of reference I think we are in the 15th iteration ..... Here we are, discovering a whole new world. Iskander, who I truly hoped to forget. Meet your brother Coda's lineal descendants branched off the tree by Boobus_Rad (now up to italics)- we have so much time to make up, so much abuse to crystalize) you are what, cousins *snigger* Now I learn from Mr. Radley that Nidan and Lurkur sic (although one is of dubious parentage - something to do with an evil game of chance and ransomed flesh) are his hereditary descendants. We are all Devo I am afraid. Don't scare me that you, the Jonathon Edwards of the Peng Challenge, added to this ...this.... well all I can say is that I have filed suit against the Dr. who did the vasectomy. He promised there'd be 'no mistakes' .......sigh [ May 13, 2003, 01:27 AM: Message edited by: jdmorse ]
  14. Who'd have thunk a wet behind the ears and damp body parts like you would actually have made it?
  15. You infantile vomit soaked waste of genetic material. Is the "Get mail" function challenging your addled and diminutive intellectual capabiliites again. Pretty soon you'll be showing the propensitiy of Seanachi to realize that in the "There can only be One" contre-temps, that not so recent unpleasantness, he lost, lost, Lost and did I say LOST. And seekig to blame another brethern of the legal establishment too. Tsk, tsk. Can shifting calumny of fifth columnists on MrSpkr be far behind? (Damn, how did he manage to bribe the bar association?) And finally a big shout out to my favorite neo-nephew Hiram (and most disturbed by the apparent gender elasticity he had been showing). Just heard he has migrated south to warmer lands. No doubt he'll be shifting his allegiances to the Atlanta Indians. Can you say Chop-chop.
  16. I had hoped that Boob Butt-face, no boldling till I measure his mettle, had forgotten my earlier appearance, would not remember the brief time I forgot my meds and wandered back to familar territory. The advantage age has is the ability to quite ignore the more unpleasant memories one has a tendency to acquire thru distasteful associations. So now I must roll with the swine once again. Well imagine my pleasure. Peng, Seanachai, Berli, hell even Shaw-boy (shudder) I have fought them all and ripped their ears off. (Well not really the Gnomish one, but they were well masticated I assure you) But like a fading movie star, I find myself doing the equivalent of an infomercial with the evolutionary scion of my heraldic lineage. Oh well, I guess I will smile for the camera and pretend none of this is truly happening. Somethings in breeding do show. Like his gamey tricks of making me attack across the CM equivalent of the Utah Salt Flats, and if he has anything more than a Kubelwagen I am true and royally screwed. Makes me mist up with pride.
  17. a successful location (at least against AI) was in valley floor in rocky(?) area. Towards the edge facing 90 deg to road. And tucked around a curve in the hill. So when tanks came down hill they were flank on to guns and only one or two had potential LOS to my position. pumped shot after shot, into tank after tank. Key is to minimize their LOS to you. Usually you fire two shots and if gun is too exposed every tank on the board targets it.. So 'keyhole' them with limited return LOS. Also tucking them also in the equivalent to a 'hull down' position helps as well.
  18. It was a one night stand. Don't remeber nuthin 'bout it. Least wise they never got me on the child support. So this is where my little "indiscretion" leads? I demand a DNA test. If not then I shall box your bovine ears back like the billious pock of pus that is your forefather. By the way, you might wish to research our family tree a bit more. Back then, young and fair, Croda, he of claimed descent tasted of Helen's fair bloom admidst the ruins of Priams loge, developed a rather unhealthy yen for his mum and a bit of the old knocky knock against his pa. So no telling where ye came from. Well the test is in the pudding. Let us see if you carry my lineage boy. Pick a side. Challenged (in more ways than one) are you. If a rheumny old reprobate can sliver you down to your nads, then we'll know where you belong. Skinny assed punk marker. Fey! [ May 08, 2003, 01:36 AM: Message edited by: jdmorse ]
  19. *Inadvertenly stumbles in* Kids. We build a world and this is what they do with it. *contined mumbling into the night*
  20. Too bad about your parents. For what it's worth I can tell you that CM is an internet sale only (except some Euro sales for CMBB) All of us here have bought either CMBO and/or CMBB ( and I daresay are already saving to by CMAK) Many used credit cards , some sent in checks. I have never heard in the YEARS since I started here any problem that Battlefront did not labor to solve to the customers satisfaction. Witness the strategy guide. They mailed a FREE revised volume, at their expense to all who had purchased a earlier run that had 'in their mind' too many print errors. They made the decison within days of discovering the problem. They have never ripped us off, and the people here can get quite vocal about their praise for BTS. I do hope you figure out your 'puter problem because there are no finer simulations of WWII than than these games. Doubt me/ just read the forum. People ( aLOT of people) LOVE these games and respect BTS and are long time customers, in the past and in the future. Like I said, they do take checks, it's the same as a catalog and I brt your parents have at least occasionally done that
  21. Congratulations Fernando. A proven talent as my CMBO mods prove. Good to see you get the recognition and rewards that your little hobby led to. [ April 21, 2003, 02:02 PM: Message edited by: jdmorse ]
  22. CMBO can be gussied up very nicely with the large number of mods available. The 'somewhat' cheezy buildings for instance. Compare "panzertruppens' buildings or Gordon's armor mods. Works of art. Think of CMBO as an imersive and involved 'demo' It is not as complicated as CMBB in regards to the use and employment of units and is a good training ground to build in. Also it does provide a 'fix' for the Western Theatre crowd.
  23. Zimorodock....Actually they strike me as some of the "best" hasty style mods. I am a great believer in diversity of choice here. The more different styles the better since there is no one right way
  24. I certainly suggest continuing as I don't think the solid white mods look good or are realistic (even as I use them ) I also like the accumulated snow look but very few seem to be done. I like a mixture rather than a uniform look so these would find a welcome place in my mods folder
