But this guy is not stereotype most of the Belgians I know can speak very well Dutch

Major please dont remove the M113 with 25 mm
It is a good alternative for the Dutch YPR vehicle

boy o boy,even the Dutch story is formulated in terribly Dutch
It was difficult to understand ,think the writer has an IQ of 20 or so.
Clearly a supporter of other genres

Hmmm Deerslayer,I had the impression your arty hit more of your own troops than they hit mine
But thanks for warning me
So far I shot up a lot of worthless recon vehicles and troopcarriers,I havent seen to many tanks and my ammostock is rapidly declining
But the troops are confident they will hold off the Brits,see Germany and die right..........

an update onprogress
We are at turn 13 now
Deerslayer plays the Brits and I have the germans
Like I said we both like the map!
We are not bored with the troops either,nice tactical moves and fierce fighting
the reinforcements are placed well so far,specially the brit troops are placed on fun spots,cost me some headaches to contain the different threaths.
But I think I managed well untill now

Well I am glad I never had to fire a shot at someone else so my answer will not be very helpfull
But all I can say is that the only thing I would care for in a war is trying to stay a live.
I am sure I would be scared as hell

I think you should delete the copy of the entire bmp folder you made on the desktop.
Than create a new map in the cmbo directory on the C drive ,not a copy of the default bmp folder itself
name that new file original bmp and save the default BMP files in there when you have a mod
but.....only the ones you need to replace
There is no need to have a copy of the entire bmp folder
It should work that way

What I did is create a new folder,I named it original bmp and placed it in the CMBO directory
Now when I dl a mod I move the default bmp to that folder and move the bmp from the mod into the default bmp file

a or b extension means you can switch the files for different configurations
most times these are vehicles bmp with turret numbers or divisional markings or different colour schemes such as the tri,bi and mono coloured german vehicles
just rename the files.
The game plays the bmp's without the a and b extension

And my mods are about 127MB
I have no problems though.
I dont know what it can be but I advice you to go to the tech forum.

Hi John
I did a new install of XP professional.
make sure you have enough memory at least 256ram
Both tacops 3.0 and 4.0 test version run ok on my computer.
Make sure for other games that you dl the latest drivers.
Some games have graphic problems especially with Nvidia cards
27.50 driver is latest,make sure you have that one

I just started your scenario in PBEM.
It will take a while before it ends.
Map looks great though,I cant tell anything about the forces till I played it out though

PeterJohn is a piece of cake.
Last time I played it ,I only lost 1 tank but killed all red units
I tried to play the scenario with an airborne bn and Hmmv's than its a bit more difficult
in fact I was blown to pieces with that force.
Kelley is more a fighting retreat against overwhelming odds,has little to do with scouting IMHO

crews and other useless infantry can do that trick too:)
so make sure if you hit an enemy vehicle ,too kill those crews at once if you have a safe chance to do it

What you can do is use the Kincaid scenario.
Its a heli battle where the helicopters have to engage and destroy an Opfor mech regiment
What you can do is delete a part of the helicopterforce, for instance the sccout Kiowas and some apaches and add a ground reconunit with bradleys
This way you can go scout with the brads and kill with help from the apaches and the artillery.
Very difficult to keep the brads a live ,but fun

But I thought I could give some info on the MBX as well.
Rich the battle took place in 2009,yes in the far away future.
We had aircraft carriers and other ships with awacs
and we had aircraft garrisons based on Ascencion island
Tornadoes and harriers
The argentinians use the Laavp as well and M113's
So in tacops 4.0 you can simulate this quit well.
I shall ask Rikki the maps he used(if they are not in the TACOPS HQ map directory) and think of a scenario,maybe when 4,0 is released we can do a battle than.

some time ago someone mentioned he would create a sandbag mod,using the stone wall.
This was for use in ditches.
Is this person ready with it or better did you actually start with it?

Well,I was curious about the people on the shrimp forum
So I decided to have a look in their IRC chat room
All kinds of little kids aged 16 and below without any notice of military stuff
the reviewer(guy named Rootz)is the sites wargamer enthuisiast
But I dont think he has enough knowledge of military tactics to understand the games purpose(as he clearly states in the way he wrote his review)
I tried to explain them about the graphics and the Nvidia problem,took them a while to understand
Some of them did not even know you could dl drivers for the videocard I think.
One of them even asked me about the driverupdate from windows update:)
Also made some attention to the other major pc magazines reviews and told them they could find more help and info on the battlefront forum.
They provided a very negative review and given the number of people on their chatroom this can do a lot of damage to the cm selling in the low countries
