  1. Andy, The end result of that scenario is solely dependent upon whether the Allies utilized the improved M23A2W+S version of the Kitchen Sink, which featured the non-slip handles, lifetime guaranteed non-tarnishing chrome finish, Water filter with replaceable cartridges built into the improved long faucet and attached Soap Dispenser. Clearly, as stated in previous posts about the inherent weaknesses of the early versions of the M23 Kitchen Sink, such as scratches to the armor caused by scouring pads and the poor performance of the short barreled faucet would cause the Allies to be quickly dispatched by the German forces in this scenario. Thus, include the one of the newer versions of the Kitchen Sink, and this has the making of a hell of a scenario. ------------------ CrapGame out

  3. MadNess, And I thought just noticing that an occasional turret being slightly askew was cool in the thread with Bullethead the other day. Charles must be an incredibly active lurker in this forum to pull this one out of his bag o' tricks. Impressive.... ------------------ CrapGame out
  4. Steve, Charles, I have finally found a reason good enough to crack open the 21 year old bottle of the Macallan I've been sitting on since I received it as a college graduation gift in 1993 (I guess that makes it 28 years old now). The old lady is going to be PISSED that our wedding and four anniversaries didn't make the cut, but getting a Computer Game did. Congrats gentlemen, this round is on me. If you're ever in the NY Metro suburbs, I'd be glad to share. ------------------ CrapGame out
  5. Yeah, there are 13 people in Vermont, right? Count Ben & Jerry out as they're too busy making Cherry Garcia. That leaves 11. Count out the members of Phish, they're on tour. That leaves what, 4 or 5 people. 2 have got to be working at Killington - that leaves 2 or 3. There, I've narrowed the search down to 2 or 3 people. Let's warm up the van - it's almost the weekend. ------------------ CrapGame out
  6. Did killmore just mention that BTS is just a front for Microsoft? ------------------ CrapGame out
  7. Bullet - Nasty stuff indeed. I just think its pretty cool to see the turret askew every now and then. It's just a added cool feature. I definitely am not advocating that every time a tank is KO'd that its turret should blow off and land 50 meters away, because as Bullethead is saying, it certainly doesn't happen every time. ------------------ CrapGame out
  8. If the number of smilies in this thread doesn't bring forth the venomous Wrath of Peng, I don't know what will. Maybe he's looking for Von Shrad and the keys to the van... ------------------ CrapGame out
  9. Bullet - Interesting pics on your site. How big are those submunitions that caused that to happen??? I think I am going to have to watch my movie files more closely. Every time I think I have seen it all in this game, something else seems to blow me away (besides that damned American artillery). I have not seen the turrets askew yet. Is it more likely to happen if the tank brews up? ------------------ CrapGame out
  10. Your MadNess, Thanks for the quick response - I'll have to take some closer looks at my movie files from now on. I always saw the barrel droop before but never noticed the turret actually looking like it is not quite sitting correctly on the turret ring though ------------------ CrapGame out
  11. MadNess, That Panther POTD, labeled as NakedDead, sure looks like its turret is askew. Is this just a funny angle, or is this one of the added bonus features? ------------------ CrapGame out
  12. MG, Yes it does. POW's have a habit of running for the hills if you don't post a guard on them. Sometimes they seem to do it even if there is a guard in the area if there are forces from their side in the area as well. A cool feature to see them try and make a break for it when given the opportunity. ------------------ CrapGame out
  13. Berli - I'll take my lucky # 23 as the Krauts for my first-ever PBEM if thats all right with you. ------------------ --------------- CrapGame out
  14. I saw mine yesterday as a Lt. in VoT for the first time - it was pretty cool. What was not cool was how quickly my namesake led his platoon to be slaughtered in that lousy village. ------------------ --------------- CrapGame out
  15. Sniperscope, I'm in the thriving metropolis of Walnut Grove - uh, I mean Blooming Grove. Might as well be Walnut Grove - There are probably the same number of people ... CrapGame out
  16. 28, married, no munchkins yet (though the old lady's "Biological clock is ticking...")Beancounter by day to pay the bills, Beerslinger by night to meet other ladies (take that Peng...) 1st wargame I had was Kampfgruppe for my Commodore 64. That brings back some memories... CrapGame out
  17. Hey, I like that idea - It gives people such as myself some randomness, yet still keeps the reasonability and balance in check - Steve and Charles??? CrapGame out
  18. Why don't the two of you open Yahoo mail accounts that you can access through the web? If you can post to this forum, you'd be able to retrieve your mail.... CrapGame out
  19. I definitely believe that there has to be some randomness to what you receive, especially with the reinforcements. After all, no one (except maybe Monty )would put off an attack that had to be made because the scheduled reinforcements were not of the same makeup as the starting force. I think the randomness factor adds another element of thought to the game, as you may have to alter plans for a counterattack, etc. because a jabo shot up your reinforcement column, and all that made it up to the front was the 2 panthers and 6 mg42's. You takes what you can gets. CrapGame out
  20. Lusername: = Troll? And that's all I have to say about that. CrapGame out
  21. I kind of like it the way it is. It may be unwieldy at times, but at least the scenario will be different each time you play it. CrapGame out
  22. Lee, I didn't think infantry could drop a smoke screen either. That's why I said I don't know which unit laid the smoke screen. I don't believe I had KO'd any of their mortars yet, but I know for sure I had killed the 150mm. That makes me believe it was a mortar, although I hope it wasn't my own numbnut 81mm observer in support thinking he was doing me a favor. I wish I had the movie to view the field afterwards and see if there were any small craters to indicate mortar fire, but I don't know how to save the individual movies. Damn impressive game. CrapGame out PS - Steve & Charles, my old lady has voodoo dolls of you two, and they have been savagely attacked over the last several days. Just a heads up to look out for falling pianos and stuff like that.
  23. Last night in VoT, the damn AI played a dirty trick on me, although I don't know if it was intentional or not. As the Amis, I was pushing a platoon through the town from the hill directly in front of the 1st row of buildings. I had one of the Sherm 105's and an 81mm observer in support. After initially standing their ground for 1 turn, the Germans started to pull back and popped some smoke (I don't know which one of their units did it). Naturally thinking I had them on the run, I put my platoon in hot pursuit. One turn later, my platoon was shredded as they ran down the road through the smoke screen (my support Sherman and mortar lost LOS due to the smoke) and got caught between 2 squads in the buildings on either side of the road. End result: 1 dead hq unit, 1 squad wiped out, 1 squad with a panicing survivor, and 1 squad with 2 surrendered GI's. SH*T! It couldn't have been a more by the book way to die alot now. I learned a lot from this battle. Gamey tactics do not work well in CM.
