Well, an overcast and rainy screenshot isnt a good example to indicate downsampling. I can't tell if the background is downsampled or not. There are also many settings you can adjust with a good tweaking program to improve image quality. Antistropic Filtering and Mipmaps can show marked improvement on graphics. Madmatt

Your not by chance trying to select units while zoomed in at max (x16) are you? As stated in the manual, you can not select a unit while at max zoom. Also, what happens when you try and drag box select the unit? Madmatt [ November 26, 2002, 01:32 PM: Message edited by: Madmatt ] -

I don't think thats downsampled, it is simply a texture that we used that is not to the same level of quality as others since it is still using a model un-upgraded from CMBO. Madmatt

Odd as it was there the other day. I know they were supposed to be updating the French Page to link to the patch soon. Hopefully they are just in the progress of updating all the sites and this will soon be rectified. Either way, we will contact them to figure out whats going on. Madmatt -

HMG bug?? (Using update 1.01)

Received the save games and tested them this morning. Sorry Steve but I dont see a problem. I watched both turns and here is what I see. In the first file you have I think 5 or 6 teams targeting the bunker. They all fire one long burst at the very begining of the turn and their ammo goes to 104 (it started at 105). They did not fire again throughout the turn since the TacAI does not think it prudent to waste fire at the bunker at such long range.. In the second file, you have 5 or 6 more teams with orders to shoot as well as the original teams. Again everyone fires at the begining of the turn. Some MG's go to 103 ammo (the ones that fired the turn previously) while the others fire and ammo count drops to 104. One team is jammed and does not fire at all. Perhaps you see something different but all seems fine on my end. Remember, there are more tracers drawn per burst in CMBB than in CMBO, maybe thats what's throwing you off? Madmatt -

At that range (700+) meters the TacAi wont waste the ammo however your report that no ammo is showing to be expended is odd. Can you send me the save game please along with a recap of the issue you are reporting. Thanks! Madmatt -

Sounds like you downloaded the CDV version 68 meg patch instead of the 25 meg Battlefront.com version patch. Madmatt -
The only changes to bogging in 1.01 was that vehicles now have LESS chance (not more) of bogging in open type terrain. No changes that I am aware of were made for muddy conditions. Madmatt

Well I can understand that I suppose but surely this is something you should (already have?) raised on their forums. It is a matter that is unfortunately out of our control but I do appreciate your intent to clarify your position and as I said your comments were noted by us. We really do listen to what you guys have to say but something like this is better done via email directly to us since its more business related than CMBB gameplay related as such. Lets close this one up as well then. Madmatt
