  1. Tree grog. It sounds like something that should be looked at. Tress can take damage but at some point the tree should no longer be a LOF obstical.
  2. The ones from the demo won't work with the full build anyway.
  3. Tomorrow. (I used to go to a bar that had a sign reading" free beer tomorrow")
  4. Not to be a stickler but the actual quote is "around the end of April".
  5. Did you make them yourself? There is one of them that I really like.
  6. To further answer what I think Chops is asking... As ND says, they are separate point allocations. Each unit is given a point value and a rarity value (dependent on date and location). When using this system you may be able to have enough regular points available to purchase what you want but not enough rarity points to purchase the unit(s). It is probably important to add that you can turn of the rarity feature and go with a straight up point purchase system with which the rarity numbers do not come into play. It is a very flexible system that can be set to anything from very very strict to wide open. It will all come down to your preference.
  7. Hi Bridger15. No, there is no BFC lobby for finding TCP games. You don't need Hamachi for TCP play but it does help to find people to play against. And for me it helps get around whatever router issue I have that prevents me from hosting TCP games.
  8. I never really had a performance problem with either of them but the tree rendering is massively improved. With CMSF most distant trees don't even appear on the screen. With CMBN not only do all the trees appear but they are very rich and full looking.
  9. So how did it go? It must be over by now. Wee you guys allowed to drink beer at Andys workplace?
  10. You took to the UI like a fish to water. You seemed to master it in under 10 minutes. This was an awesome thing watching you both play. Lanzfeld only had 1 Panther. And he had that thing all over the place and was very cafeful to drop out of LOS and then "reappear" somewhere else, giving the appearance of having multiple Panthers. I thought when we cease fired to end it you noticed that. It seems you didn't. Awesome. You told me that TWANG was going to haunt you. I just explained to Jack what the French underground was and he is loving being referred to that way. "Cool!!! I'm a spy!!!!"
  11. One thing that really struck me was that it started to get late and pappy was lookig at a 2 1/2 hour drive home and Lanzfeld had a 1 hour drive ahead of him both of them had an urgent" just one more turn" attitude. It was that engaging of a battle.
  12. I'll give you the overview and let the other guys give their opinions. There were 5 of us including myself. Peng, Lanzfeld and I ha consiterable experience with the CMx2 engine. Nrsteel has all CMSF modules and was pretty familiar with everything. Pappy367 had never touched CMx2. I started with a little tour of the game and went through the QB force selection screens. Then I fired up a scenario to show the UI and look around the game a bit. After that nrsteel and Lanzfeld faced off via LAN and played a scenario through. Nr had to go so the other 3 tinkered for a bit. Lanz then selected QB units he wanted to see in action. By now Peng had left, as well so pappy and Lanz played a hotseat battle while my son shamelessly cheered on pappy. It got pretty late and they both had a long way to travel so we had the ceasefire the hot seat after 3+ hours of playing it. So, that's what we did. I'll leave the comments about whether or not it was fun to the other guys
  13. After 8 hours Lanzfeld had to go so we did a ceasefire of the final battle. Thank you guys for coming. I really had a blast.
  14. No we didn't have a chance. After Peng left we went to hotseat which is very tije consuming. And while he was here we stayed with small battles using TCP
  15. Lanzfeld just had a squad that was laying in ambush pop off 4 fausts at the same time. Dramatic why to try fry a Sherman,
  16. We started at about 2:30 and are still going. At this point it is poppi, Lanzfed and I. They are in the middle of a fantastic hotseat battle. The are playing Barkmans Corner. Both players are showing mad skilz
  17. I have a couple in mind and rune has supplied his. I think the ones he made are fairly big and long and I was thinking that smaller and shorter battles might give everyone more of a chance to play a coupla/few complete games. But I will certainly take suggestions from you guys. When my wife left this morning she asked what she should expect when she gets home. I told her to expect a bunch of war game playing geeks drinking beer. Now all day I've had a song from The National's newest album running through my head. The haunting "Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks" with the chorus that includes the line "I'll explain everything to the geeks".
  18. Will I get a piece of the action on the T-shirts?
  19. 25 hours and 40 minutes to go. Everyone have my address?
