Windows 11 is not the cause though, I'm running that here.

The short version is that the original Game Engine 1 will not run on Windows 10 and 11. But I have access to his account and guide him directly.

No. There are no known issues with WASD camera movement. I just opened up mine before replying to this and it was fast and smooth. It may be an issue with your video card. Try making sure the drivers are up to date?
What kind of video card do you have? Is your computer a desktop or laptop? -

Each key comes with 4 activations. If you've exceeded that open a Help Desk ticket and send any key that doesn't have remaining activations and we can add some.

CMBN, CMFI and CMCW are all working with the right modules.
CMSF however is proving troublesome in spite of the 'green lights' on the activation page. Think I'll raise a help ticket, as my poor old head is spinning with activation codes.

Without knowing who you are so that I can see your purchase history.......I am going to guess that you Upgraded to CMSF2. If that's the case, then you need tofollow these activation steps:

Correct. Anything that has a download for Game Engine 4 does not require any patching. They are full game installers. What the download is depends on how and when you purchased the game. Some people purchased when the game was at Game Engine 4. That's all they need. Some people purchased the games earlier and then got the 4.0 Upgrade. For them if they download and install the 4.0 Upgrade it is all that they need.

CMCW works, but CMFI and CMSF don't. I activated both of them successfully (and the modules were shown as active on the activate page), but they don't run. They just give me the activate screen.
This may be related to the fact that I only have one activation code for CMCW but have multiple for the others (4 for CMFI, 4 for CMSF, 8 for CMBN).
Does anyone know if I have to apply all the activation codes in the right sequence?
All keys are needed for all games except for CMBN. If you have the original Game Engine 1 and 2.0 Upgrade keys, you don't need them. But use every other key.

I copied the Battlefront folder from the old machine to the new and successfully activated CMCW. However there were no scenarios or campaigns, so something isn't right.
Think I'll try doing what you did.
It's never a good idea to copy installations from one computer to another. It is always best to install fresh. Copying will usually trigger the anti-piracy software.

@chuckdyke Cheeky Dyke? You do a lot of hotseat I recall. Is this a hassle for you? I tried to cancel out but it locked up and gave me an error message. Any words of wisdom?
Sounds like the same this this person had the other day with Cold War. Do you have any mods installed?

Yours doesn't even have PBEM++ listed as a choice. But, it does have the login screen.
Since I've never seen that before, I'm gonna guess that your installation is borked (technical term). Try disabling your firewall and anti-virus software and re-downloading and installing the game. No need to uninstall what you have. A new installation will overwrite it.

What indicates that it saves as PBEM++ file? It should not save at all. You will be asked for passwords.

When that happens to me, as it does.....not just with Comat Mission......it is usually a key that is stuck or somefink stuck to the bottom of my mouse.
There are no reports of the game doing that on it's own (to answer your question directly )

Any game that is at Game Engine 4 OR any 4.0 Upgrade download are all all-in-one installers.
Pro Tip: While downloading and installing, gather all of your license keys and put them in a Word doc or somefink. That way when you've done installing activating can happen very quickly.
I should add......How will you know if your game is using Game Engine 4 when looking at them in your account? The Product ID will end in V4. Like "CMFI-B3V4" for the Fortress Italy Big Bundle. The V4 at the end lets you know it is Game Engine 4.

Reminder and heads up........There is just under a week left to wrap up your battles! If you're getting close to next Saturday morning's deadline (8:30am UTC) try to at least get ceasefires. That will give you the in game Combat Mission scores which will be much higher than what you see displayed now.
Right now I am, somehow, in second place, both for the round and overall. We can't let that happen, can we?

I have another threads in the CMSF2subforum detailing a similar issue, a unit is missing in quick battle despite it still existing in the scenario editor and there being talk about it being in game on the forums. Would be nice if it was added to some official list of missing units.

I noticed it now myself that the DP lmg is missing in the soviet army and guards formations if you want to buy them as specialist teams.
They are neither to find in the editor, nor in the quick battle generator.
