    Thanks.

    The Data folder looks good.

Since the game was running fine and then stopped that usually indicates that sumfink with the computer changed. There are a couple of likely culprits. The first is a video card driver update that may have messed things up. Try updating the video card rivers. Or try rolling them back.

  2. Hello @Hello and welcome to the forums.

I wasn't going to comment on your post at all but seeing as you've created 3 threads with the same thing I've decided to say sumfink, in the hope of avoiding a fouth....fifth....sixth........

While we appreciate your enthusiasm, the subject is not open for debate or discussion (at least not by anyone at Battlefront.....you folks are free to talk amongst yourselves). And that is why you will not see us engaging in any (including this reply). What we've needed to say on the subject we've already said.

I am sincere about our appreciation of your support and I didn't want you to feel like we were ignoring you. Thank you.

  3. ***NEWS ALERT***** After a lot of testing I can officially say that if a battle is not played out to the end of "in game" allowed time it will not score properly. Both Surrenders and Ceasefires are affected. Those scores will display properly until the Round's time has ended. Then penalties that should not apply are applied. Battles fought through to the end of in game time will display the correct scores.

We're working to figure out if it is the severs or the game that is causing this. Until that's sorted out, I strongly recommend playing ALL battles out until the end. Even if it's just clicking the red square each time you get a file. *********

Games that are not completed before a Round is finished can and should have penalties applied.

Hi. I have not recieved an email in reply to my ticket either in my normal feed nor my junk mail ?

Odd. I have found your ticket. It looks like it came in at 11:21am EDT on April 18th and I replied at 12:16pm EDT.

I'll PM you my response and we'll see how we do using messaging through this forum.

I've received a weird pbem. It's still called grand invitational tournament round 2 in the description but the title of the scenario is UK Breaking the Bank. On top of that the file seems to be password locked with something that I don't know and never set. Any ideas? I do have one pbem through that's correct for the scenario but I haven't seen the side where I would play uncons yet.

Andrew got a weird one like that a little while ago. He recieved a battle that he recieved was not a batle he was playing.

It looks like you're playing @cargol. Cargol, have you recieved any of the turn files for Round 2?

Hi raised a ticket on the Helpdesk but I can't check it as it won't let me login, tried to reset password it says it has sent details to my email but it hasn't. I am logged in to store and forum, confused.

    Cheers.

There are 3 possible logins. The store, forum and Help Desk. They are all different.

Once a ticket has been created you don't need to log into the Help Desk. Replying to the email will get to me. If you haven't gotten an email then check your spam folder.

Looks like a final calculation as the points that are missing are added to Dawntaker.

Right now the theory is that 1 of 2 things happened. Either both players did not complete the turns by clicking End from the final AAR screen OR the game did not send the "that was the last turn" message to the servers and a penalty was awarded because a player "stopped playing"/abandoned the battle.

    Greetings All;
After my iMac Quad (mid 2011) dying last year, I replaced it with a Mac Mini M2 pro, now running iOS Sonoma v14.4.1.  I’ve managed to get  one game up & running (via Rosetta??), Red Thunder v2.12, game engine v4.  I seem to recall using my v4 key to unlock it & seems to run just fine after a few Quick Battle tests.  However I can’t seem to activate any of the rest of my collection.  For instance; launching Fortress Italy v2.11 it gives me the Combat Mission Error Handler stating that there is a ‘Finger Print Mismatch’, error code 209.  None of my keys seem to work.  Am I going to need a new key(s) to activate each one of my collection?
    Thanks In Advance;
    Tankgeezer

Hiya geezer. Open a Help Desk ticket. There are tools that I will send you that will clear this up.

I've been away for a while (I've gotten very interested in a regimental-level ACW board game) and came back to update all of my CM games. My primary hard drive is nearly full, so I took the CMBN Data and Games files folders out of my Documents folder and moved them all to the "Z" folder in CMBN>Data >Z.

The Game Files folders must be in Documents. That's where the game "looks" for them.

That is interesting! Are you sure that pic was snapped after the tourney? Because it appears it wasnt as it says above the score " Currently playing" and not the "Ended on" date. Which is what I've seen before. It records the scores correctly but then makes the wrong timed out adjustment afterwards. I've never seen a second change in scores post tourney.

It possible the the Round wasn't over, even though every battle had been completed.

I have had the same problem in the blitzkrieg tournament. I believe it is a problem with how their scoring system handles surrenders. It counts as if the battle never finished as you never reached the final turn.

Possibly but at one point the proper scores were displayed.

Here is what I saw when the Tournament ended and what we see right now.

I´ve made a short test and you might be surprised:  The position of those soldiers matter. So it is not just a graphic issue, more so a heavy gameplay one I might add.

Hopefully @Vacillator will have a chance to check and see if this graphical bit is more than just what we're seeing and will be bale to confirm that they are also getting protection for being "inside" the vehicle.

If they are "positioned" wrong, rather than just represented graphicly correctly, it will 100% matter. I remember way way way back in CMSF1 testing there was a vehicle that couldn't "see". After much hair pulling it turned out the the 3D model had a sodlier facing the wrong way inside of the vehicle. And him facing the wrong position prevented him from seeing out.

Adam, your questions are confusing.  it occurs to me maybe you don't have English as your first language.  Maybe post in your language and we'll try and translate.

That is actually a very good idea. I ask that of people on the Help Desk from time to time when I don't understand what they're asking. Google Translate does a decent job. I have read his questions a few times now and I'm not sure that I understand what he is looking for. I kinda think he is suggesting that when a previously unspotted unit appears that the game should pause on it's own? If so, the game doesn't do that. I'm not sure how the 2 tank and 4 tanks comments fit into that though.

I think there was a bit of a 'heated debate' about rules in this match so I'm not sure it will complete (I may be wrong) - see the thread here if interested:

Wow. I hope that a player wouldn't stop playing a tournament round because someone wasn't playing by their preferred house rules. That would suck out loud.

Tournaments are hard enough as it is. I'd never ask players in a tournament to follow any house rules. It's hard enough to get players to follow the out of game instructions, let alone special in game rules. People entering tournaments should go into them with the mindset that, if it can be done in the game then it is ok. If that isn't fun for someone then they shouldn't sign up for a tournament. Let's keep in mind that, other than the Invitational, these tournaments are played by all levels of CM experience. Not all players have been playing the games for decades. There are lots of new players brought in by having the games on Steam and the tournaments have had a mix of familiar names and new players...............Which is part of the reason that they are done.

That said, turn 1 arty is/was an issue. To try to avoid that, for the Invitaional and current CMFB tournaments, we've used scenarios that do not have any offboard indirect fire. Not much can be done about on board assets. Although, I suppose that we can look into making all on board units capable of indirect fire arriving as reinforcements.

Can someone help me? Every time I run the installer on my Windows PC for normandy it gives the same error message.

combat mission battle normandy installer\*.brz' does bot exist.

I have already tried turning off the firewall and security. because it is a temp file. I read this somewhere but it doesn't work.

How do I solve this problem?

Vacillator is exactly right. When we see this it is because the program being used to extract the download is failing. I use a free one called Bandizip and it works like a charm but there are lots of free ones available.

I am trying to install the latest 2.11 patch.  When I try to install I get this error message "C:\users\Jeff\appdata\local\temp\7O05D9...\*brz does not exist".   Skipping that file was not recommended.   What's the fix???

Try using a different program to extract the download. I use a free one called Bandizip.
