You will have to send me the pilot name of the plane you are going to delete so I can have BRIAN restore it later if you wish. You will have to name it and its wingman for the Admiral that you will be portraying. Also, remember that you CANNOT fly this pilot at any other time during this tourney. You will only be able to have the skills you buy at the start and maybe 1 more in a later turn. Timed bombings are quite a bit more sophisticated than what this was. So much more to take into account to successfully hit the correct target.

This doesnt seem to be a clean professional type hit. I dont think this was a Syrian hit, even though if it was Hezbollah, then the Syrians may have had a hand in the planning or the training of the group that did.

This is to reinstall the software due to the recent Microsoft update that created a weak point for hackers to exploit. Yes I am doing it as I type. My copy of CM:SF just arrived today. Man you should see how beautiful the game box is! I am having a problem (seeing as I have only had the game for a few hours) with the way the lighting affects the tree shawdows in an urban environment. Plus the editor doesnt have buildings with enough height to accurately portray a downtown setting. The biggest multi-floor structure is only 10 stories, but it is cool to see the steps! Its rather complicated and may take me some time to get used to it. Ok back to modding.

Well this is debateable as for my time in Afghanistan I was deployed with the M4A1 SOPMOD and while it was ok at CQB ranges it has its problems at range, but this is essentially due to the light weight of the rounds and the short barrel. Also its moveable parts break down constantly because of the gas pressure confined to such a short barrel. The worst problem was with the barrel and forend heating up too %^$%& fast. It should be relegated to rear unit s IMO. Well w/o the little goodies anyway.

Slower rounds do MORE damage to the human body when your target isnt wearing body armor as it has a better chance of bouncing off bones instead of penetrating and going through. But all this depends on what type of weapon, range to target, type of bullet, air temp, place bullet hits, and how much they have prayed to Allah lately. But lets face it a M-16/M4 system in a CQB environment even with a shorter barrel isnt the best choice anyway. The bad thing in especially Iraq is that CQB can quickly turn into something else.

Maybe next time you should set it up as a tournament type environment to maybe get these kids compettitive juices flowing. It may help them to stay focused during the long hours of computer time. Also maybe have them write a 1 page paper at the end of this program about what they learned during the course of play. But this is a great idea. Where can I sign up for the class next year????

Hi Nemesis, The reason for the shorter barrel isnt just for doing more damage to the human body in close engagements, it also gives a distinct advantage in homes as houses in Afghanistan (Dont know first hand about Iraq) are quite a bit smaller in the entry way (door or holes blown in the walls) and it takes less time to bring the barrel on the target. Also I can see less over penetration possibly keeping non combatant casualties down.

I just did this with the tanks at 998m. The Jumbo won 14-5 with one draw. It also seemed to just be more accurate and had 2 first shot kills. Panther had none.

Cause no one wants to wait 2 hours for someone to make a move, especially if you exit the game you get quite a penalty.

I think if this game isnt good it can only help BFC in the long run. If its just bad then more players will be salivating to buy the next wwii wargame of quality. And if its good BFC will make more money being its publisher. So BFC wins no matter what. I think sadly everyone has false hopes of it being another CM. And if you really want to support BFC, buy Down In Flames and the expansion pack. Its a great game and has good tournaments in the works!
