  1. Does that mean all the hot air comes from the South?
  2. I think this was the M1A1 that was penetrated from the hull side during the initial stages of the advance into Baghdad? IIRC they suspect it was penetrated by an RPG-27 or RPG-29 which features tandem HEAT warheads, rather than conventional AP.
  3. Drop your dacks and show 'em your rear end. They like that. Also, lob a few of the empties their way, they like that too.
  4. I thought it'd be more a 'preservation memory'? You know, like the sort people have of sharks, snakes, crocodiles, poisonous spiders et al, that stops them putting their fingers anywhere near the mouths/fangs of such critters. Well this of course excludes Darwin Award Candidates.
  5. I think you already did. You forgot 'relocate once you fire', because if the opponent has a command vehicle the enemy can register your fire and launch a counter-battery mission.
  6. I'd really like to be there when those morons get their phone bill. But I can't.</font>
  7. I see Joe Shaw's empire building again. Typical bloody management. *rolls eyes*
  8. It can't be an Aussie Chorus, there was no gratuitous swear word there at all, not even a 'bloody'.
  9. I disagree, and I'm not a Hurricane newbie either. The Hurricane does have some disadvantages that I think balances out in the game - the terrain it can travel easily over is limited; unlike wheeled or track vehicles damage to the propulsion system can be extremely detrimental to it's manoeuvrability; the number available is limited compared to other types of vehicles; and a good enemy player can still sneak up on one and ruin it's day. So personally I would prefer to leave the Hurricane as is.
  10. What's WooHoo? And more importantly, what's it's alcohol content?
  11. Macey Kathleen would have been a better name, but congrats anyhow to Mr. and Mrs. NGcavscout!
  12. Hey aren't you supposed to be sitting on a bike or somefink?
  13. The Hurricane is a bit hard to control at first, but with experience you get used to it's foibles and find it far easier to control. As for strafing? Get your velocity up in the particular direction you want (say perpendicular to your intended target), rotate the hull in the direction you want to fire and fire away. To maintain your initial velocity vector don't accelerate otherwise you'll start moving in the same direction as your current hull facing. bwt what I'd love to see is a way to adjust the height of the Hurricane from the surface - that way you can execute a 'pop-up' attack with it.
  14. I think it's more no one else using it. We used the voicecoms a lot in the private beta.
  15. Yeh it's her bra. It separates AND lifts. ummm no. Got pictures? Better yet, I'll go ask a movie expert consultant.
  16. If you've handled terragen and got the software you'll have little problem in creating new maps for this game, and Clay's written some great guidelines to help that hopefully will be in the final manual. [ March 18, 2006, 03:37 AM: Message edited by: Mace ]
  17. Speaking from experience here, once a team starts coordinating the game gets far far better, especially if the opponent doesn't.
  18. Maybe they meant "effluent", you being a cesspooler and all?
  19. *Puts on the gloves, and the cool looking helmet* w00t! Time to rack up newbies in my Hurricane!
  20. Eek! The Justicar is fantasizing again, or recalling past experiences!!! *backs away slowly*
