  1. Casualties as points is under control of the designer as a %. If the designer does not give points for enemy/friendly casualties they are not counted.

I am not certain, either, about treating the wounded effecting the casualty pts. A good question for BFC. Like You guys...I try to treat my wounded like they were REALLY my responsibility

    Keep em coming!

How about a nice screen shot...we all LOVE to view the carnage available... and it's just a mouse click away!

Mines? what mines!?....he, he, he.... Well first there is little way to know where the mines are Plan by plan. That is because each Red AI plan has more specific mine set up areas than mines allotted. So the game is allowed to choose specific areas no matter which AI plan is drawn.

You as a commander are on the horns of a dilemma (constantly in this scen it seems) regarding how to handle mines. Procedure, of course, is to call for the engineers and wait. But you really can't do that. So you'll have to either test suspected mined areas by Stryker or make your own path. When you think about what a minefield actually does (force enemy units to either take another path or slow enemy progress long enough to allow accurate cover fire to take effect) you May want to consider creating your own entrance points to this little acre of hell in Damascus.

Rik81: This is not a game problem. You just seem to be confused.

    1. Lt click on an inf sqd (preferable the sqd the vehicle belongs to... 2nd sqd goes with 2nd vehicle, ect )

    2. Lt click on the "move" button

    3. Center the mouse cursor on the vehicle until you see the green icon with an arrow pointing downward... lt click to load.

It's simple and works each time.

BUT: when you get a green icon with a lateral arrow YOU are NOT placing the cursor over the vehicle

OR: When you get a yellow icon it means either you are trying to load troops into an already FULLY loaded vehicle or the inf unit you have selected is too large to load or add to a vehicle.

Mark, I think that it may be a game problem, as per my post. You're not allowed to give an embark order for the first turn, it always displays a yellow arrow. </font>

  6. Here a way to do that:

    1. Rename your Quick Battle Maps file by adding "orig" or "X" or something.

    2. Create a new Quick Battle Maps file (empty)

    3. Go to www.CMMODS.com and DL "QBG Vol 4 Special Large Maps" Check by designer "MarkEzra" search or just scroll down the list until you see it.

    4. Unzip Vol 4 to your new Quick Battle Maps file.

Now you can play Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, or Huge on a large scale map. Just choose the battle size and map type and you're on your way.

    From CMMODS description:

111 Large Maps. Each map allows the player to Choose ANY size force (Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, Huge) and still play on a large map. Use it either in addition to our standard QB maps or Save your original "Quick Battle Maps" and Re-name this file For All Large Maps All the time.

How I did this was to take one large Map and rename it 3 ways: Small, Medium, Large...

When you tire of this style just rename that Quick Battle Maps file by adding "large" and use your Original Quick Battle Maps file by changing it's name.

You CAN just add the Vol 4 maps to your Original file and they'll come up for use as well as any others. This, however, does NOT guarantee you'll always get that large map for a small battle.

  7. Map size 400meters X 512meters... (That's a SMALL Map.)

Blue Friendly Cas 15% gets 75 pts (that equals 1 1/2 objectives Pts)

Enemy Casualties 85% gets 50 Pts (equals 1 Objective PT)

Blue Power: a Full Stryker Company with it's MGS Plus Helo's and Mortar's and an EQUAL number of men. Finally, you have 1 hr to do the job.

How to Win? Use your superior Fire power by first spotting the enemy and bring down accurate Helo and Mortar fire. Follow up with MGS cover fires on any activity followed by Stryker Grenade Chuckers and then move into an area under the cover of smoke dismount your troops and clear out the remaining forces. If you rush, you die.

  8. The thing that I wanted to do with this scen was to learn MOUT. I can tell you that SOMETIMES I do pretty well. There are a ton of variables in the Red AI so even after multiple replays the player can never really key into a plan based on where he sees a vehicle or sniper. It's a good way to learn MOUT and you've got an Hour of playtime with lots of support at your command. Think all arms and force preservation at every turn.

  9. Glad you're back. CMMODS.com has two ways to figure out popularity:

Check out number of DL's from date the scen was available. Reviews that may have been given. How I check out a scen is by the author's description, not by anything else. Do I feel like a large battle, small battle, country romp, city stomp, meet, attack, defend...PBEM? It's a smorgasbord

By the way...I happen to be number 11 so I guess you'll not want to DL any of my stuff ;)
