Hmmm... This game even installs background processes without asking user for permission. Seriously, this is going way too far, bug ridden game installing unauthorized back ground stuff... Uninstalled on both computers.
How can I remove all stuff associated with eLicense? I have no idea where those files went during installation.
www.battlefront.com/helpdesk has a Knowledge Base with entries on how to remove eLicense. It's not installed without your permission - you agree to it by installing the game as per the End User License Agreement.

Launch the game, click on Multiplayer, and you're in the right lobby

Register with Paypal. They allow you to fund your account in all kinds of ways. Then use Paypal to place an order in our www.battlefront.com/store

Sorry to hear that you have problems getting the game to run. Most people don't. We are happy to assist you in finding out what your problem is. Please submit a ticket to www.battlefront.com/helpdesk.

Infantry seem to get mown down entering/clearing buildings, even if I rake them with canon and MG fire first.
A rule of thumb I usually go with: If you think that you have raked it with cannon and MG enough, then give it about another 5 more minutes

You need to install and launch the game with full admin rights. Are you doing that?

He can help you get your butt kicked, too, by the way

The server is being hit quite heavily at the moment, and we have a connection limit in place, so you may be seeing that. We will have many mirrors up over the course of the next days.

I assume the AI will be able to handle a map like that if we paint one up in the editor?
Oh yes... one of our testers has made custom maps of Europe (among others) with large continental landmasses. The AI can handle them just fine. (If you think about it, amphibious strategies are far more complex to code for than pure landmasses).

You will SOON be able to check out the entire list in the game itself via the beta demo.
To be honest, I've tried to put together a list for the web but it's too damn big with all the various research options that there are. You can get a glimpse of this from some of the screenshots posted, but really the best reference will be the full manual/help file that's included in the game (and demo) itself.

Notice the menu on the left of that page? There is an entry for Media Files. Click on it!

Wow, this looks more unbalanced towards the RT side than I thought.
To balance it out some: I play WeGo mostly. I compensate for the slower reaction time by, well, taking things slower. Combat isn't a race. It is perfectly ok to let units sit in place for some time before moving them. This happens in real life all the time.
Playing in WeGo feels more realistic in the way that time passes, actually. It takes longer to achieve the same objectives as in RT mode but the time it takes seem more realistic to me. RT is way too fast, and if there was a full-game replay feature in CMSF it would really highlight how unrealistic it is I suspect.
I like WeGo also because I do not like to micromanage at all. The TacAI is making all the little decisions it needs to do usually pretty well. Including the stupid mistakes it makes from time to time, it does feel realistic, too.

Pre-orders and release date are inextricably linked together. Asking for one is the same as asking for the other, really That's because we never run pre-orders for more than 4-6 weeks. Any longer than that and we run into all sorts of infrastructure, legal and management issues.

What does this mean? it's necessary to register somewhere for the beta?
No registration is needed. The beta demo will be available to anyone for free from various mirror sites on the net as well as of course directly from www.battlefront.com/demos
-
Sorry guys to squish the hopes, but there will be no beta demo release tonight. We're almost there, but it will be a couple of days for final testing and all.

Nope, it's up and running. Don't use Chrome, Chrome is not supporting FTP. Anything else should work just fine if your browser security settings allow for file downloads via FTP.

CMSF Marines is already including v1.10 by default, so you do not need to patch separately. But you do need to have both the base game and Marines module installed before patching to v1.20.

You should contact Paradox support in that case.

Laurent, that was LAST weekend. Everything has been working normally since then.
Have you logged into the helpdesk to see if there is a reply to your ticket?
Have you logged into your store account to check on the status of your order?

You have downloaded the wrong patch if it's asking you for a license you don't have.

This is probably better suited for the General Discussion Forum.

Heh... yeah, deleting the Peng Thread would be like throwing all the lunatics out of the asylum to save a few bucks in the social services budget!
Ah, I knew there was a reason why we didn't delete it already...

Try again in 30 minutes or so.

ToW: First and last Battlefront game for me

George, sorry to hear you have troubles with TOW. Tech support is usually carried out by several people, including the developer that has made the game. Response times therefore may vary. Easy things are handled by our regular stuff within 24 hours, more complex stuff may take longer to get a response from the core team.
Having said that: have you already logged in online to the www.battlefront.com/helpdesk to check for a reply? The email may have bounced or been rejected by your server. If you don't hear back within 48 hours it's usually a good idea to check for your ticket status online. I bet the reply is sitting there for a week already.
