  1. Due to your reformatting, eLicense may think that it has now been moved to a different PC than it was licensed before. eLicense is smart enough to try to recognize your PC (even after a reformat) but it will not always work (which may explain why only the British module acts up, and not the base game, or, if you have it, the Marines module).

You do have the British Forces module, do you? (It's not entirely clear from what you write). If you do, simply license it again. If you get "error 11", then you will need a reset for your key. Please submit a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk.

  2. Correct!

First, you should unlicense your previously activated game. If you don't, then your license key will remain "linked" to that PC. While you can have one key be linked to up to two PCs at the same time, it is definitely better to unlicense if you do not intend to play the game anymore on that PC.

The rest of the procedure - slug has it right:

    1. Install CMSF from DVD (or backed up setup file that you downloaded)

    2. Install Marines from download

    3. Install British Forces from download

    4. patch to 1.21

    5. enter license key on first run

  3. Darkstar - since 2002 it's never been a fixed release date for the sc series. It does'nt work like that with furysoftware games. So no need to get angry everything is under control.

What makes me(and I think I speak for Jerseyjohn too) is the problem to understand the moderating around here. When we are waiting for a game it's ok to discuss ww2 books and what ifs, but as soon the game is released Battlefront more or less looks up everything you posted. I would ask of the moderators to be a bit more layed back and not lock up everything as off topic.

No clue what you are referring to.

  4. No, it is saying "I do not have any public comment at the moment".

One of the luxuries of independent development is being able to work under no artificial release schedules created by marketing people. This allows development under a flexible schedule with no firm "release date" estimates. It's a dangerous thing to do for people not used to it (dangers like "feature creep" loom around the corner), but Hubert is an experienced award winning developer, so there is no problem there. If he feels that it's not yet the time to make a release date public, then this is something that you and other players have to respect.

Talking about respect... how about showing a little? Not (only) because Hubert is the developer of the game you apparently care much about, but simply because he's another member of a forum where four-starring someone is going to get you an Infraction (see little red card in the top corner of your post).

I am going to lock up this thread because there is no way this is going to stay on topic.

  5. The Repository is tracking download ATTEMPTS, not completed downloads. The download limits (which are in place to prevent excessive file leeching) reset after 24 hours.

If you are getting timeouts trying to download, make sure that your PC and browser are able to download using the file transfer protocol (FTP). Some browsers, such as Google Chrome, do not support FTP, and other settings on your PC may prevent file transfers as well.

  6. You can "load" the game on as many computers as you like. However, only two of them can be "active" at the same time.

This is because the eLicense system enforces our End User License Agreement, which allows you to have the same key active on up to two PCs at the same time.

In other words, you can activate the game on two PCs at the same time with the same key. If you would like more than that, you have to UNLICENSE one of the previously activated copies (you do not have to uninstall though), or you have to buy a second key (which gives you another 2 concurrent activations).

  7. If you have purchased and downloaded from Battlefront using the link in your customer account, then you have the full version of the game. From what I recall, you have to play through the campaigns in succession in order to "unlock" the missions and new campaigns.

  8. I always have difficulty navigating your system

RCMP, reading helps. Not that there is anything unusual about our system at all, but any questions you may have are explaned in our Knowledgebase at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk, and the instructions on how to purchase are shown on *every* page at www.battlefront.com/store. Granted "enter the right email" is not included in these instructions :)

As for logging into the store account - you have logged into a website on the internet before? If so, then it works pretty much the same :)

  9. You can run up to two games at the same time with one key, yes. This is spelled out in the End User License Agreement that is part of the game. Strictly speaking you are only allowed to have the second activation for personal use, but we do not enforce this part of the EULA.

Sending someone your key however does involve risks. Once the key is known, the other person can use it without limitations and could "steal" your activations from you. So you should better trust that person before handing over a key :)
