Please note that we do not provide official support for the russian version of this game (nor demo).

Yes, we will open pre-orders for Kursk fairly soon (it's planned for later this week). The exact time and date depends on the code "going gold" and a few other production to-do's, which, once completed, allows us to time pre-orders so that the time between a pre-order and the release does not exceed 4-6 weeks (any longer than that brings trouble, legal and logistical )

No, Darkstar One, I don't know it as well as you do apparently.
It is always "just one additional option" for EVERYBODY out there who wants that ONE additional option. There is nothing special about your one additional option than there is about all the others, and since we need to draw a line somewhere, we have drawn it where it makes sense, namely to offer ONE bundle for this series, and not more.

No, unfortunately Patton Drives East only works with the original english Battlefront version of SC2 Blitzkrieg. It will not work with the German version (or any other version). We do offer a discount for customers who would want to buy PDE (or WaW) and do not have the Battlefront version. If you are interested, please submit a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk.

Hi Arrad,
the first thing you should do is make sure that your game isn't already fully patched. Many retail releases are already patched to the latest version (1.03) Run the game and have a look at the main screen. What version number is listed?
-
-
We do not plan any further discounts at this point.
Regarding 1) -
your license key (what you call "installation code" I guess) for a game never expires.
The 365 days limit is for DOWNLOADS only. But really, usually there is no need to download a game more than once. Simply make a backup copy of the files you download, e.g. burn to disc.
Your license key can be used for ever. The only thing you need to make sure you don't forget is to UNLICENSE it from a PC when you don't use the game anymore. You can have the game activated on up to two PCs at the same time. When you activate a key, it's "bound" to the specific PC it was activated on. By UNLICENSING, you "free up" the key. You can do this as often as you wish, for ever.
If you have not been able to use your key, perhaps you have forgotten to unlicense. Please submit a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk, including the key you're trying to use, and we may be able to reset it for you.

Glad to hear that. If you don't want your money back, at least submit a ticket with your order number and we'll give you an in-store coupon for a future purchase!
-
Hi James,
there is no need to buy anything new. Why did you buy new games? Submit a ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk and we will refund your purchases.
Please note what I wrote above:
You also have to make sure to set them all to run with the option "Run as administrator" when you first launch them.
For more details about what on your PC may be blocking the games from running, please visit the Knowledgebase at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk.

What it says is correct (of course )... the release version of Marines was 1.10 and includes any updates to CMSF already. So you do not need to download 1.10.
Install CMSF -> Install Marines -> you're patched through to 1.10 (or higher)
-
What do you mean with "migrate"? You cannot simply copy the games over, this won't work because of the eLicense system.
You have to unlicense from the old one (if you don't want to use it anymore) and then install from scratch on the new PC. You also have to make sure to set them all to run with the option "Run as administrator" when you first launch them.

There are a number of reasons for this, technical as well as marketing related.
Basically, it boils down to this: everyone would like to bundle different products with each other. We have, believe it or not, over 100 individual items on sale. We cannot offer bundles of everything. It would soon be a big mess where you would have to wade through a few dozen different bundle offers each time you want to buy something. It's not practical, not only on the front end for the customer, but also in terms of handling and infrastructure in the back end. Therefore, we try to limit bundles to the more logical choices.
BTW, if you order more then one product at the same time, you can create a kind of auto-bundle yourself (at least if you purchase with a mail or mail&download option). That's because for each additional product we only charge $1 per item. So if you buy two products, you only pay $11 (in the US) and not two times $10. Saves you $9 bucks.
Over time, we do change what bundles we offer. For example, I am sure that at some point we will offer a three game bundle of SC2 Blitzkrieg + PDE + WAW. In fact, perhaps we'll switch to that when the Global Conflict game is out. I am not sure yet.

You do not need to use an ftp client. You need a browser that is capable of handling an ftp connection. Most are, by default, unless you change their settings. Chrome isn't supporting ftp at all, and as far as I know it's the only one that isn't. Other things that may block ftp on your end are your firewall or proxy settings, and I guess anti-virus, too.
-
Again, all the files are working for download. If you cannot download, then your browser is not set to use ftp.
-
Interesting. Two things I noticed:
- many rifle pits seem to be on the enemy side of the bocage?
- who made this map? It's not a German map obviously.

it's hugely misleading, BF should do a better job clearly differentiating the release from the Retail version as the cover is nearly identical to whats displayed on BF.com, you also receive a printed game manual
You receive a printed manual and the Units Guide if you purchase Mail delivery or Mail&Download delivery from us.
So it appears that i've wasted $50 buying the AUS retail version, and now I'm told i'm not entitled to v1.1what a joke!
are there plans to release a patch to all affected AUS gamers?
You will have to ask the Australian company this question where you have purchased the game from, I'm afraid. Or perhaps Akella will release it. Battlefront has nothing to do with that version, sorry.
-
-
No, you do not need to log in, and hence you also do not need to register. When you buy for the first time, you enter your address and billing and shipping info, and a new account is created for you automatically. There is no need to manually register at all.
If you look at www.battlefront.com/store, step by step instructions of what to do next are listed there on every page.
-
Please submit a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk. Please include your order number in the ticket info.
-
clubsprint's version is the Australian retail version which we do not support here. Which version do you have, coltwalker? If you bought directly from us, v1.1 Battlefront international version, please submit a support ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk.
-
The Australian version of this game has nothing to do with our Battlefront.com release. We are not supporting the Australian version, sorry.
The Battlefront official international release is the updated version 1.1, including bug fixes, a completely new localization, and generally a much more polished product. YOu can download the free demo from the Battlefront version (which is not available anywhere else and is different from the Australian version) from www.battlefront.com/demos.

I believe its not BFC but the seperate elicense game security service that has control over this. They'll let you retrieve your password data up to one year(?) after puchase I think. There's been more knowledgeable discussions elsewhere on this forum. So if my machine crashes and I lose the post-it-note stuck on my cork board I'll be in the same boat as you.
Don't listen to MikeyD, he is completely wrong about pretty much anything he wrote here :-)
The login password and the eLicense key are completely different things. Neither expires, ever, and you can retrieve both indefinitely. Move on, nothing to see here...

I bought CM ShockForce when it came out in 2007.
CMSF came out before Oct 1, 2007. If you bought CMSF then you do not automatically have an account. Again, if it says that there is no corresponding user found, then there isn't any. It's really pretty simple. The database does not lie
-
If it says
"no corresponding user name found"
then you can really trust what it says It means, that this username does not exist.
If you have a forum account does not mean that you automatically have an account for the main site. You may have none. Or you may have one with a different email.
You only have an account on the main site if:
- you purchased something after Oct 1, 2007
- you manually registered on the main site
If you use www.battlefront.com/lostpw and the email you enter is not recongized, then it does not exist. You can register a new account in that case. The link to do so is also on the Repository page.
This, and many other questions regarding login etc. are in our Knowledgebase at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk.
I would pre-order Normandy right now
in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Posted
Wodin, I don't know if Steve already replied to this earlier in the thread, but we have a policy of not opening pre-orders sooner than 4-6 weeks before the actual release. Keeping that timeframe helps us avoid logistical and legal issues with charging people's credit cards for a product that is not yet released.
