  1. If you get the message that you do not have permission, the most likely you are not running the game with full admin rights. Make sure you right-click on the game exe, select Properties and check "Run as administrator".

A workaround is to install the game not in the default directory, but in a different folder, such as under My Documents or My Games.

You should probably refer to the Windows manual for User Access Control as well to understand what it does and, if you want, you can shut it off as well, of course.

  2. You'll have to ask your father for it. He may have ordered "download & mail", in which case the key is store in his online account. Or perhaps he didn't even buy it from us. If he bought it from us directly and orderd "mail only" delivery, then the key is on a label usually on the back of the dvd case or sometimes inside the case.

  3. This is not a bug but a problem "on your end". One of the security programs on your PC is blocking the execution of this particular exe. Our exe's are encrypted to prevent them from being hacked, and the encryption may confuse your AV, firewall, internet security and other programs. In a perfect world, setting the exe to 'Run as administrator' should solve the problem, but unfortunately a number of AV and IS programs and other security software out there does not obey, and may continue doing stuff 'under the hood' that you're not even aware of. :(

  4. Hmm... going from memory here but I think your account can only be associated with one email address. Simply forward the relevant email(s) your going to get with the download info and key to your brother. He does not need to have access to your store account in order to play or download. All he needs really is the license key. He can then make a new account himself and use your key to download the game.

  5. Not really, just mainly different with a different focus on what they are trying to achieve as a game experience / simulation. TOW is more about leading groups of individual soldiers and is extremely detailed in this regard. CM is more about a slightly higher scale of leading squads and up. Again, play the demo :-)

  6. Hubert, Moon anybody help!

I have all the SC games so this is not the first time I've used elicense. I uninstalled my antivirus and antispyware. I have deleted and reinstalled the download (game) three times in case I had a corrupt file and I get the same error/problem. Everything is fine until after I click the "install license button", I see a message that say "Internet connection o.k." and "retrieving license" and then nothing. The open dialog box just freezes. When I click anywhere I get the error message that the program is not responding.

Just to see if it was my computer I uninstalled WoW and relicensed it no problem so the only thing it can be is the license key. Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help, I'm dying to play the game.

Make sure you install and run with full administrator rights ("run as admin").

PS. Another thing to try - try the "off-line installation" instead. Whatever is blocking the license activation may be doing so because of the encrpted two way connection. The "off-line" license procedure is using a regular browser connection instead. Since your PC is able to go online, it's fairly quick to do, too, since you do not have to transfer any files from one PC to another. The procedure is explained in detail in the license window, simply follow the instructions (precisely).

  7. I have received your other emails, Bo, and let me repeat here what I just replied to you:

the email that alerted you to the download is fully automated. Unlike the email that I am sending you personally. Spam filters often are set to detect and, depending on the configuration, block automated emails. That's why you can read this but the email alerting you to the pre-order download may not have made it through.

There is nothing to send you to be able to download. You can log into your account at www.battlefront.com/store at any time. If you need your password again, go to www.battlefront.com/lostpw and a new one is emailed to you. Now, that is an automated email, too, so if you don't get it, you should talk to your email provider about whitelisting sales@battlefront.com. Adding the address to your address book often already helps, too.

  8. Bo, the fact that you are getting "all your other e-mail" is irrelevant. In fact, it's probably incorrect.

Spam filters can be triggered by all sorts of things. There is nothing that Furysoftware or Battlefront can do because the blockage is on your end. We have no access to your ISP, email configuration and no other means to "unblock" what either your email program is set to do, or your email provider.

If you would like support on how to whitelist emails, please contact your email provider or ISP.

    Martin
